My boyfriend and I have been going to
Amelia's for our anniversary for the last few years. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is intimate and relaxing. We currently live in the North End of Boston and both of us agree that even here there is nothing comparable to Amelia's. Make sure to make a reservation for the back room!

We recently had dinner at Amelia's on
Balboa Island and found it to be a charming little neighborhood Italian restaurant with terrific and authentic Italian food. Service was excellent.

Clam Bisque was amazing! Ambience was
surprisingly quaint. Usually when I think seafood restaurant, I think of red lobster which is super loud and people running all over the place. But it wasn't at all. It was quiet, waiter was nice, and we didn't have to wait long at all for our food. Muy bien!

The staff was amazing and the food
outstanding. We had the lobster raviolis and clam bisque to start. Both dishes were amazing! We had fresh halibut and salmon for our main courses and they were delicious! The wine was great and the desserts tasty. The atmosphere was intimate, warm, and friendly. I would and will return soon. I know now why they had stayed in business for 50 years-great food and terrific staff and service.

When I think of Italian food, the first
restaurant that comes to mind is Amelia's Seafood & Italian. My husband and I love the atmosphere, the service is wonderful and most importantly the food is excellent. I would highly recommend Amelia's to all my friends and family.

home style.
I ordered the sword fish from the daily specials and it was the best I had for a while.
Service was great as well. I took early dinner with the best table they have on the patio
It is remarkable and I'll be back!

Excellent food....poor people skills..
This was highly recommended by a friend of mine that lives near the restaurant. We were really impressed with the food, but the service was not the best we've had. As we entered, we were asked if we had reservations (yes), the next question was how long we thought we would be there!!! I've never been asked that at a restaurant, and didn't quite know what to say, but I told her that we wouldn't be long. We were seated right away, and we told our waitress that this was our first time and asked what she recommended. She replied "All the fish dishes were good, but if you want pasta, the pasta is a good choice too". So we ordered and then we overheard the waitress at the next table explaining all the "specials" that were not on the menu. Our waitress failed to mention these, and it bothered us.
BUT, once our food came, we were very pleased by how good it was. We will go back, and hopefully we will have a waitress that welcomes new customers , not just the "locals".
