Docking at Newport's Balboa Island, this touring fleet has hosted live, narrated tours of the Newport Beach area since 1948. The various 45-, 60- or 90-minute cruises can include whale watching, celebrity homes, sea lion observation and ocean and sunset excursions, depending on the season. The boats can also be rented for private parties, weddings and corporate events. Tours depart every half hour in the summer and every hour in the winter.

See John Wayne's former home and wooden boat on a tour around Newport Harbor on a huge tour boat! The tour takes you by lots of other star's homes. My wife thought the homes were great and I thought the ride around the Newport Harbor in the sun was wonderful. We both had a great time. It's nice to take a tour first, before you visit other places in Newport Beach. The boat tour helps you figure out the basic shape of the peninsula and how the different streets fit into the overall picture. It was a wonderful day trip. I would like to go back and try the evening tour to see the lights on the coast. Fun time! PROS: Fun Time! Reasonable Price! CONS:
