Dentists >Stevens Benjamin T DDS
I called and made an appointment. When
asked the reason for my appointment, I told them it was because I had pain and sensitivity in a molar and I wanted to get it checked.
A tech took x-rays of my teeth, and it was painful and uncomfortable and gagging. She seemed unempathetic.
After the X-rays, Dr. S entered. I introduced myself and told him about the pain. He looked at the x-rays, inspected my mouth for awhile, and then this was the first thing that came out of his mouth: "You need a cleaning." I replied that I'd had a cleaning three months earlier with my dentist from my home state. "No, it's been longer than three months," he says, "you definitely need a cleaning." Thus, in our first interaction, he has dubbed me a liar. He continues: "Did you have braces? I notice your bottom row is getting a little out of alignment, We can fix that up for you pretty quick. We can whiten too. Fix that coffee-stain color problem. Looks like you need a crown right here. Oh and you need a cleaning." and so on and so on. Nowhere in his litany did he mention the problem that I came to his office for, which was odd, because that's what I came here for.
Patiently, I ask him about the pain, and he says that the filling in that molar needed to be replaced. Dr. S leaves and I begin thinking about when i could potentially set up an appointment to have this work done....... when suddenly, without warning and without clarification, the assistant throws a bib around my neck and begins prepping her instruments. "What are you doing?" I ask. "A cleaning" she replies. "Whoa, whoa..." i say, "I didn't agree to that. I'm not asking for it. I don't want it. I'd like to leave." So she removes the bib and I get out of the chair and leave and never look back!
--Very expensive! They give NO
discounts whatsoever. If you owe them $2.78, you WILL receive a bill for it. If you don't pay, they will send it to collections!
--The front office secretary is very pushy, rude and nosey!
--The parking is absurd! All of the close parking is for the disabled or 30 minutes. Good luck finding parking in a movie theater lot!
The WORST dentist I have ever been to!!. This place is the worst dentist I've ever been to!! I feel like if you are going to be a dentist you should allow your patients to RELAX and not feel like they are in a hospital! I was always telling them how painful and full of anxiety I was due to my sensitive teeth, never once did they offer gas. Every time I was there I wanted to jump out the window because of the sound of the drill and how uncomfortable his dental assistant was. They always lecture me how I never floss and how apparently bad my teeth are, I'm only human!! I got two crowns that hurt the next day and I refuse to go back to him for an adjustment, THAT'S how bad it was. If you are going to be in the medical field, you need to be understanding of people with anxiety issues, not dismiss them! Also, my neighbor who is a computer specialist can trace computer locations. He has told me all about Vicky, the office mgr, and how she writes fake reviews ALL OVER the internet under the names Maggie, Louise and various other names. Sorry to see someone so angry and desperate to get new patients! I guess business is slow.
Awesome Dentist!. I would recommend Dr. Stevens because he has helped me overcome my fear of dentist. He has done worked with me for over 3 years now and I am finally able to sit and have dental work without fear. I have needed to make payments and the ladies at the front have helped me out with this as well.
