I haven't been to the actual museum. This reivew is for their satellite "museum" in the Costa Mesa Mall. Although the concept sounded intriguing, when my husband and I went inside we found nothing but a starkly white room with some booths and small computer screens. We scanned the area for a moment while a sloppy teen behind the counter stopped babbling to a friend for a minute, rolled her eyes over at us, paused wordlessly, then rolled her eyes back to her conversation. At that point, I'll admit that I asked her if she had any manners at all and called her a nasty name, but she deserved far worse. Surely no one is paying her to slouch behind a counter, ignore customers and to come to work looking like she's watching a football game on her sofa.
Pros: The actual museum may be great. I haven't been there.
Cons: The satellite museum couldn't be worse. I walked out in seconds.

OCMA is the best museum in Orange County. The exhibits are refreshing and fun. The museum is unique and provides a platform for emerging artists and new trends in art. Plus they offer guided tours, artist lectures, and movie screenings. My favorite part is the Orange Crush events, they are held every third Thursday of the month. Admission is free, the hours are extended, and some of California's best bands and DJs play live music.
