I bought my car there 1 1/2 years ago. E350. I've always thought I got a bad deal but have been too lazy to try to prove it. Plus, the bum's rush I got when I purchased it, gave me the idea they wouldn't listen anyway. I financed part of the cost, and at the LAST possible second of the deal, after I'd spent hours there (because they play the old game of taking forever to come in with a trade in price) getting worn down, and I was sitting there with pen in hand to complete the deal and go back to my life, they told me the interest rate would be 7%, when the going rate and their advertised rate was 4% (and I have perfect credit!). I did the deal anyway, but paid the car off in 3 months. Why did I stay and complete the deal? Because they threw every "wear them down" tool they at me and it worked. I'm ashamed to admit it. If they weren't local, I wouldn't deal with them.
i returned a car after a week because i thought the deal was horrible. when i was there to do the return Rhonda offered me to convert the lease to a purchase. we still did accept it because we thought the payment was a little high (but better than the first deal). the buyer of our car told us we can still think about it because it was late to deposit our upside down payment. so then me and my wife decide just to grab that deal. i called the next morning and JB told me even if we decided to keep the car the day we returned it, it is not possible and Rhonda was not in the office. so we gave up did not call them till i tried to call them again and Rhonda was there. she then told me she will try because it was already 4:30pm and it's a little late to convert it. and yes she called me after 30mins saying it can't be done because it is too late. WHY DID SHE TELL ME THAT IF JB TOLD ME IT'S NOT POSSIBLE?? why would she try if she know it is not possible? did she really even try? who it telling the truth?? so now my options are to keep the car with the horrible deal or pay $7,500 to return the car. yes this is a win win situation for them.
and these Scott (sales manager) who i talked to when i was there telling me also it is a good deal. i asked him if he would take the same and yes YES! unbelievable! why would he tell me "yes" and doesn't even know how much i am paying every month! and even told me he would take a deal on a C-class and willing to pay $800/month on a lease because he has a negative equity. what did he trade for his C class a Ferrari??
Scott, show me you are paying $800 lease on your c-class and i will delete this review.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! EVERYTHING I WROTE HERE ARE REAL AND NO LIES LIKE THEY DO!
BELIEVE ME THEY ARE THE WORST!
Does not honor warranty on repair ! – Bought car which was repaired by F.J. Come to find out
repair was only partially taken care of. Car is now out of
state and had to deal with F.J. thru my local dealership
Started my inquiries well within the warranty period. Their excuse is that the original owner did not complain
about the issue when he picked up the car ! Now I am
responsible for the repair. This is a company that makes ~ 400 Mio. a year ! Biggest in America. Bad
NEVER BUY FROM FLETCHER JONES – I was amazed at what this place looked like and was completely shocked when they fraudulently double billed me. I was swarmed by competing sales people and when I finally bought the car...I was promised the world. I never received the missing pieces from my new car or the new dvd that was suppose to come with it. On top of this, they cashed my check AND charged my credit card. I tried calling and emailing over 21 times and never received one phone call in return. I recorded conversations with their top executives and once they found out they were being recorded they all hung up. Do not trust this company. They will only screw you as they did me. Don't be taken by their fancy operations...now I know how they built it...by screwing people!
internet sales department leaves alot to be desired! – not impressed. I truly cannot stand car salesman so I attempted to get some pricing online for a 2010 S550 with Fletcher Jones. I don't want my time wasted and I wont tolerate pressure. I explained all this in email. I was just told I need to come in. 3 times. I have purchased many vehicles this way and no other dealers have problems giving pricing over email. My credit is perfect, I know what I want. This dealer obviously has a plethora of business and doesn't need mine. I will be looking elsewhere. The millions of dollars they spend on advertising I'd expect more. After the 3rd email asking for pricing this is the reply:
please consider the facts:
We are the largest volume Mercedes center in the world and we have been for 8 years straight.
We have 5 times the inventory of anyone else.
We guarantee to beat every deal.
Taking those into consideration, how can you justify not coming here and actually going anywhere else??
With all due respect, we have no motivation to waste your time or ours. If I wasn’t totally confident we could save you money, I wouldn’t be so insistent upon you coming here. We want your business, all I am asking for is a fair chance for us to earn it, in person. If we don’t make you an awesome deal, I don’t expect you to buy from us. Please allow us to show you why we are #1. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain. When can we meet??
Needless to say, I didn't buy my SL500 from them and I wont be buying an S550 from them either! For $105,000.00 in this economy I would think I would have gotten what I asked for, 3 times!
Disneyland of dearlerships – Fletcher Jones gave me a good price when I purchased my E63 AMG. The salesman was very nice, I however didn't think they took enough time making sure my car was clean and ready for delivery. One thing I didn't like about this dealership was all the waiting. This is a very busy place and personal service is not top on the list. When I came in for service with an appointment., I couldn't believe the lines and wait to get out of there.
