Chaotic, Incorrect price on web site, Won?t go back. We went with a large group at 7PM on a Saturday night 2-2-08, expecting to pay $15.95 per person as the web site indicated, but when the bill came it was $23.95 ea. Others in our group had paid the lower price last time, so apparently this restaurant recently jacked up the price by 50%.

At these new prices, I can not recommend this restaurant. It was our first visit (we frequent an asian buffet in Lake Forest, with a smaller but similar food selection, much more reasonable prices, and better service).

The service at Hokkaido on the night we visited was problematic: they kept running out of silverware and plates, and the guy at the mongolian BBQ station was extremely slow and took the plates out of order. Mine took at least 10 minutes before it was ready.

If cost is not an object and you don't mind a noisy and chaotic environment with mediocre service, you might enjoy it. Otherwise you may want to bypass this place.

OC's Best Seafood Buffet!!. This restaurant has excellent quality food with so many varieties of Japanese sushi, Gourmet Chinese, Teppanaki/Mongolian BBQ, and more!! The chinese is very authentic and thus majority of the customers are Asian. The best thing is that the price is very reasonable at only $10.99 for lunch M-F and $15.99 for dinner and weekends. Where can you find such a great meal at these prices these days in Orange County....let alone Newport Beach!! Other seafood buffets in OC offer similar selections but at much higher prices!!!

Seafood is very extensive at dinner and weekends with huge varieties of high-end sushi/sashimi, crab legs, jumbo prawns, oysters, clams, steamed fish, shrimp cocktail, and much more!!

This place is a must for anyone that loves sushi, seafood, chinese, and buffets in general!! Check it out....

The best Japanese/Chinese Seafood Buffet in Orange County. Great seafood buffet with many varieties of sushi, chinese, teppanaki/mogolian bbq and more! The price is very reasonable and much lower than other OC seafood buffets.

Hokkaido is a great all you-can-eat buffet in OC!. It's a buffet with Asian cuisine, especially with tasty sushi. I loved the eel sushi! You also get a lobster ticket for half a small lobster. For $20 a person for lunch (without a drink), it's well worth it if you're hungry!
