What People Are Saying About Dave & Buster's

In Short – This massive entertainment complex lures customers in with its arcade, then keeps them there by way of a spacious eatery serving pizza, pasta, burgers and finger food. Classic games like billiards, skeeball and shuffleboard are balanced by electronic counterpoints such as Ms. Pac-Man, Centipede and virtual-reality simulators that re-create an 18-wheeler ride or a Star Trek voyage. Of the two full bars, one comes with a 20-screen videodome designed for armchair quarterbacks.

Fun break!

by JazzArt at Citysearch

It's nice to escape the shopping for a minute, and hit a few quick games. It's a nice place to bring the out-of-town visitors - really something for everyone.

The food is surprisingly good, but it's not the most impressive date place. Go here with a group and you'll have a blast!

Horrible service, Awful food, and broken games!

by jj1983 at Citysearch

From my experience the service was awful. It took 5 mins just to be greeted by someone. Even worse I had about 5 different servers pass me. Anyways when I finally did get greeted and got my drink I found a fruit fly in it. They took forever to bring me a replacement drink. I didn't even have a manager come by to smooth things over. The food was way below my expectations and trust me my expectations were quite low considering the kind of food they have. Now I consider this place a rip off version of boomers only here all the games are broken and it is way more overpriced! They have the worst system of getting a game attendant you flip on this light switch and just hope one of them notices and comes over to help you. Well if anyone has ever been in a Dave and busters they could imagine how hard it must be for these poor attendants to notice something like this. The game room is way too big to have someone notice a game is broken by a little red light bulb. Plus they have a tricky way of getting you to spend a lot more money on the games without noticing. See most places you put quarters or change in but, at Dave and Busters they charge you 5 dollars just for an empty card then you must put money on the card. Now here is where they really trick you since you are playing with a card and not inserting money each time you play a game you don't realize how much you are really spending. The average game there is about 2 dollars some are more and only the really crappy games are less. If I had to sum this restaurant up I would say that Dave and Busters in Irvine is overpriced, unsanitary, has awful service, and is definitely not worth your time or money.

  • Pros: The atmosphere is nice the place is beautifully decorated but looks is about all it has.
  • Cons: Crowded, bad service, terrible food and drinks, overpriced, and broken games.

happy hour and arcades

by juju13es at Citysearch

Dave and Buster's is the adult version of Chuck E. Cheese... WE can embrace our inner child by playing Resident Evil or shooting hoops to score tickets for a grand prize! My grand prize, last time I went, was this adorable mini water filter thingy- it took me many rounds of games to get there. Adults and kids can play together until 10pm, when people have to start showing their ID's. Though I never really ate a meal there, I take full advantage of their $5 cocktails during happy hour.
