The service was horrible!.
We attended the Melting Pot restaurant in an (early) celebration of Valentine's day. We had reservations at 5, and decided ahead of time to skip any cheese or appetizers due to the fact that we had prior plans for 7pm down the street at the comedy club. We arrived at about 5:02, and waited for 10 minutes or so to be seated.
Upon being seated, we waited for at least 10 minutes for our server, at which point we informed her of our upcoming plans, and that we were ready to order. We asked if we could expedite the cooking of our main entrée to instill we'd be on time. Nothing was done in a timely manner whatsoever, and even our simple order seemed to drastically befuddle our server, who needed to repeat it 6 or 7 times. The food, as always, was incredible, but to be quite frank, the service was no greater than a truck stop diner.

Best of the OC Melting Pot locations.
I've been to all the different Melting Pot locations in Orange County and I like this one the best. I feel like the staff is the most helpful and friendly and the servers always do a great job. My husband and I come here a few times a year and it's always a great experience!

Just okay. Should have spent my money elsewhere..
I kept hearing people talk about this place so I decided to see what's up. I made reservations 2 weeks in advance not because I wanted to... it was because they were busy. "Wow"... i thought to myself. This must be good! Finally get there and I feel like I'm about to embark on a culinary journey of palatable excellence. After all... you needed to have reservations, the food is priced on the higher side, location is pretty good... this is going to be wonderful, Right??!?!?!! Actually... it was...O...K. I did enjoy the secretive seating. The seating makes you feel like you're secluded. The last time I felt like this was in LA at the House of Blues Foundation Room. (Look that one up if you don't know what I mean.) If you asked me what I ate I couldn't tell you... that's how memorable the experience was. I equate this place to Rain Forest Cafe... you go once to experience...but there's really no need to come back. For the same price we paid here I'd rather enjoy a nice prime rib dinner at 5 Crown, Lawry's, Gulliver's, Houston's, or Ruth's Chris Steak House. Not Morton's though... that place isn't worth it either. All those restaurants are close by...some are ACROSS the street. Please don't be fooled by other reviews. Most people equate higher priced dinners to quality... I eat at a lot of restaurants... this place is... eh... sub par.

A long night...
good Service and a great atmosphere... but it took three hours to complete this dinner. The appetizer and dessert were fantastic... appetizer consisted of a cheese fondue and for dessert we did a white chocolate with an assortment of fruits and marshmellows. the entree was the low point of the evening, cooking each individual piece of chicken became more annoying then anything else. Our waiters name was jeff and he did a great job. Next time.. I will just order appetizer and dessert.

Cook your own food for minimum $25 per person?.
Very unique, but bottom line average food at abover average price. The desert is definetly better than the dinner and the cheese app. was so so.

Great Concept for Dining.
Great place to bring the family but will cost you some money. My family loved the atmosphere and we all had fun trying all the different dips. Well worth it.

Good Time.
A good dinner, nice atmosphere with great service. Plan on spending $60-$70 per person. for their four course meal with drinks, tax, tip.

Editorial Review.
Restaurant pairs fondue with a wide selection of wines for pure dining bliss.
