Keep looking for another Tailor – Like AlanaB I have had nothing by issues with Daniel. I don't understand why the give you a pick up time if the alterations are not finished on their due date. Poor time management and he is sending the clothing to be altered to an off site location, due to my clothes were not there in the shop to pick up. What is the point of finding a tailor that doesn't do his own work or at lease the ability too supervise employees on site.
The work is OK if you can wait 2-4 weeks after the scheduled due date....
TERRIBLE business ethic; this guy will take your $ and run – If you are considering using this man's services, PLEASE read this review in its entirety. Surely you will have a similar experience and I highly suggest you take your business elsewhere, to an ethical/honest tailor. Read on:
I took my wedding dress to him and he promised it back in 1 week, but not without first requiring full payment up front. One week later I called before stopping by...it wasn't ready. I called everyday for another week, with Mr. Daniel always asking for "one more day." There was always some dire emergency (excuse) keeping him from getting it done. I had to threaten him to get it done with only 1 week left before the wedding (at this point he'd had the dress for over 1 month already).
What he considered "finished" was nowhere near what we had discussed, it looked like the same unfinished dress. He took more measurements and said he'd have it the very next day since the wedding was only a few days away. I should add that there were 2 other very disgruntled customers waiting for him also (1 was another bride). Both were hearing the same excuses I was.
We showed up every single day that week and AGAIN he was full of excuses for why it wasn't ready. Finally 2 days before the wedding I gave up hope and went to David's Bridal to buy a brand new dress, with no time for alterations. I was left with no other options. Mr. Daniel did not care one bit that he left me without a wedding dress, on what is supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life. (To add insult to injury, he refused to refund me the money I paid up front).
I don't doubt that Mr. Daniel is a good tailor, but tailoring skills mean nothing when the tailor can't deliver what he promises. I discovered that most items aren't even tailored by him, he has people come in at night to do his work, with very little instruction.
If after reading this you still decide to use his services, I wish you lots of luck.
