After 2 REALLY bad experiences I was compelled to write this so you don't get fooled also. The website is misleading. The spa is more like a small renovated condo poorly decorated very cluttered. Not Eurpoean style as the website claims. Here are my 2 experiences at Marciena... I received a gift certificate but didn't use it on my first visit (big mistake). The spa is tiny. The 10x10 waiting area/lobby/front door is also the "relaxation" area you wait in your robe, inbetween services and there are cameras on you. My 1st massage here was the worst ever. The masseuse put the pump bottle of lotion on my legs and pushed on my legs to get more lotion. She was VERY rough. I asked to lighten up and she went on about how her regular clients like it harder. Massaged my scalp so roughly she scared me. Terrible. The steam room is smaller than my bath tub. Then waited over 40 minutes in the lobby/relaxation area! The 2nd visit. Yvonne suggested "the best" masseuse for my 2nd visit. I was greeted harshly at the front desk. Massage felt nice but he missed the class on discretion. Uncovering legs to massage, he didn't tuck the sheet. At one time, the bottom half of both my butt cheeks were exposed!- Exposing my pink area! Many times I readjusted to cover myself. When I was on my back he says sit up, drape my legs over the side. I am fumbling, trying to hold the sheet to cover up. He pulls both my hands behind my head to pop my back,dropping the sheet, exposing my breasts! Then Vichy exfoliating treatment VERY uncomfortable. When done, he leaves me and I see open empty Dove exfoliating body wash! For the $ they charge I don't want to see 99 cent soap from CVS! Durning my body wrap/facial I was insulted by the owner after seeing my tattoo, saying it won't look good when I'm 50, how tacky tattoos & piercings are (I also had a visible eyebrow ring) Yvonne's facials were wonderful minus her attitude but the massges and experiences were too bad to go back for even a facial

If you want to die and go to heaven in an hour and a half - go to Marciena's. They have the most experience in skin and body care - bar none. Your face is radiant, your body totally relaxed and renewed and your spirit soars like you've been on a wonderful, peaceful vacation for a week or two. This spa is definitely my fav in OC and I highly recommend it to everyone!
Pros: free parking, 1 block to Laguna beach at Main-= awesome!
