A historical landmark in a quaint beach village..
The Scene
Built in the 1920s, this classic California house was the former beach abode of movie mogul Louis B. Mayer (of Metro Goldwyn Mayer). Today, it has evolved into a unique inn operated by a transplanted English couple who share their passion for Southern California with their guests.
The Details
The inn sits in a picturesque neighborhood lined with traditional beach houses just a few blocks from the sand and is within walking distance to the artsy shops of Laguna Beach. This intimate hostelry has just six suites, each with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. The one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom units are individually decorated and appropriately named according to theme. For example, Asian artwork and a bamboo four-poster bed accent the Mandalay Suite, while the Primrose Lane Suite recalls the English countryside with lace curtains and antiques.
