Best Sushi in south/costal orange county!. When my mom and I moved to Orange County several years ago, we looked up and down the orange county coast for an amazing sushi restaurant, and we found san shi go in laguna. I love the sushi chefs, the creative rolls, and the beach ambiance. They recently just updated the decor, which was a big improvement. Excellent sashimi...particularly the hamachi (yellow-tail). I reccommend the cajun salmon roll and the special cucumber roll...definitely our favorites. Enjoy!

Be aware though, if you go after 7:00pm, the service at the tables will get a little slow...particularly if you sit outside.

Awesome service in OC. We've been to this place over a dozen times. First and most important thing is that they have excellent service, which is so rare in SoCal. From the time you walk into the door you're greeted and you get a realistic wait time. The wait isn't long usually but they keep checking back with you. One time the wait was more than expected and and they gave us free drinks. The sushi is great, the chefs are friendly and entertaining. There are some special rolls which are unique and tasty. We always sit at the sushi bar, the crowd is younger and it's a nice date spot.

Backflip Roll & Baked Halibut Roll. ABSOLUTELY amazing fresh seafood, unique rolls, and an awesome local vibe. Seating around sunset is awesome with beautiful ocean views. I believe it's Laguna's best kept secret... or at least it USED to be secret :)

Arguably one of the best sushi bars in Orange County. A best kept secret and local's bar.. Always a high turnover rate, usually busy, fish is constantly fresh, and sushi chefs have original specialties. Ask the waitress for the secret rolls and specials if you are not sitting at the sushi bar. I highly recommend this restaurant (just ask your concierge).

DELICIOUS SUSHI. An absolute MUST!!! All of the sushi is delicious...but for someone looking to order something other than spicy tuna, I recommend the cajun salmon roll, daikon roll, saiko roll, and backflip roll. Very Laguna Beach casual, very good food, very good price...what else can you ask for!!! YUM!
