Comfort food... The Penguin is great food, nice staff and killer quantities!!!

Very Cute!. The food is definitely coffee shop style, with nothing to get excited about, but it?s very quaint and offers a nice change from the traditional overpriced Laguna Beach faire. Very small. Not recommended for parties in excess of four. Put your name on the list just outside the door and read the paper or just chat. They?ll call you when one of the few tables open up. (Counter service as available) Check out the patron donated penguin offerings and sip a cup of their excellent coffee as you peruse the menu. Pork Chops and eggs are a favorite, but you?ll find most everything good. Limited hours (Mon-Fri 6:30am-2:30pm.- Weekends 7am-1:30pm) so don?t expect much other than breakfast. Try it, it?s worth the wait and a favorite with the local?s!
