LAFB was the highlight of the night!.
I used Love At First Bite for my son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony and it truly was the highlight of the whole night.
We held the ceremony inside our church and had LAFB set-up the buffet and dessert tables outside in the courtyard. When the boys came out and saw all of that food and the chocolate fountain their jaws truly dropped!
Everything was absolutely delicious everyone was so impressed. The tables looked great and their decorations went perfectly with our red,white, and blue theme.
The marinated artichoke angel hair pasta salad was absolutely to die for, but without a doubt the Chocolate Fountain stole the show! (and the kids weren't the only ones getting carried away smothering chocolate on anything and everything!)
Can't wait for the next excuse to use them again.
They Made My Day!. I hired LAFB to cater my wedding reception. We wanted a fun relaxed atmosphere with music, beer, and bbq, following our beach ceremony. We were pretty low budget so I didn't have a coordinator, just my mom and my best friend. Even a relaxed person starts to stress on their wedding day and it felt like everything stopped when I sat down. The keg people came with the ice and just dropped it in the yard, no one to put it into the ice chests. Then the LAFB crew showed up (early!) and set to work doing everything I asked of them, constantly asking if there was anything else I would like them to do. I had forgotten about the party favors and they reminded me, I underestimated the amount of ice needed and they ran out and picked some up (I DID hire an extra person to help out, I knew I would need it), they used extra shells I had left over from my tables to decorate theirs and tie it all together. I left for my ceremony calm and relaxed knowing that they had everything under control. They didn't let us down. The food was fantastic and for the amount of food we got the price was by far the best in town. I found another company who was less but there was only 3 sides vs 5 at LAFB and they litterally counted out 100 hamburgers for 100 guests, where as LAFB based their price on two per person! That makes almost twice as much food for only about $500 more and that also included a staff of four for the whole night - the other company dropped it off and came back and hour later! The whole night they reminded us and the DJ of times that things should be getting done, first dance, blessing, toast, etc. I was hesitant about using LAFB after reading that negative comment but it seemed like this person had unrealistic expectations so I took the chance. I'M SO GLAD I DID! I highly recommend them and will gladly use them in the future and already had a person from my reception ask for their number. Naline is a very insulting women. The truth is, her parents contacting said company 2 days prior to the event during the busiest catering season of the year. They were accomodated and agreed on the order. Naline then contacted the company and said her parents had it all wrong. After explaining anything that can be done would be to accomodate her request and her agreeing to a menu, she replied "your the best" in a corresponding email. She then changed her opinion and requested changes. After refusing changes she communicated she was appauled.
Now; after two confirmations, the said company understood there was no way to please Naline. They refused the order with their apologies. This was greeted with an apologie by Naline and a phone call from her mother. That call included her mother stating "I know how difficult she can be".
Several weeks later, the initial article was posted. Said company went above and beyond during the busiest time of the year, only to be tarnished by her untrue statements.
We value every customer but you can never please some people.
Worst Experience Ever!!! Owner cancelled my order less than 24hrs before my party!. I would not recommend this company to anyone. My parents have ordered from this company in the past and they are not the best but I figured I'd try them again cuz it was a bit last minute and most places were booked up already. Not just any employee but, The OWNER of this company cancelled my order 24hours before my party for the mere fact that I inquired about an unknown charge on my contract. He not only tried to overcharge me by $400. but cancelled my order. He knew he had the upperhand and used it to his fullest advantage. I really t hought he was kidding but he wasn't! I was appalled by the fact that a caterer who promised to provide his service would subject someone to such a horrific experience especially, when he knew I was relying on his service for that evening. It all worked out in the end cuz good food is not always hard find however ,the simple fact that the owner of this company could do something like this? What left for his employees? you've got to wonder where his integrity and principle level is as a owner!
