Best Comic Book/Game store in town.
Don has always done a great job of keeping current with the newest games, while supporting the old ones too. This is the best place to shop! if they dont have it they always offer to order it. Great selection of comic books both mainstream and independant!
They have everything: comics, back issues, boardgames, Miniatures, Books, Role-Playing Games, Manga, Clothes, Posters, Graphic Novels, Modeling supplies. You name it, thay got it!
Sweet store!. Comic Quest has great staff members who are always willing to give keen suggestions on comics based on my preferences. There's a "homey" feel to the store--I never feel like I'm getting rushed out--there's always a lot of wonderful conversations going on that you can jump in on! You can get lost in their wide selection of trades and back issues...they've got quite a hefty section of trades from both mainstream and independent publishers. I was impressed at their War Hammer selection as well. If your looking for crazy-looking dice, this is the place!
Favorite Comic Store Ever!.
Comic book stores often get a pretty bad rap in the average person's mind, but this store defies all of the negative stereotypes. It's clean, well-lit, and family-friendly. I'm not the least bit embarrassed to bring my girlfriend along (or even my mother!), or anyone I know who isn't a fellow comics-fan.
The staff is pretty knowledgeable, and even if there's some trivia one of them doesn't know, they're happy to talk about it with you. They also have a pretty good reputation for not being too speculator-friendly - in other words, they never hoard stuff in order to sell it for exorbitant prices later. Back in the Pokemon craze, they'd set limits on how many packs customers could by to try to make sure there was more to go around for everyone even though they could easily have charged 5 times as much and sold the whole batch to one wealthy customer.
There are really no negatives I can recall from my 10+ years of patronizing this store. At worst, they're occasionally sold out of certain titles, but they're always happy to put in a special order for no additional charge whatsoever - all I have to do is leave my name and number and they call me back in a week or two when the book comes in! They also have subscriptions available that come with a 10% discount on any books from your pull-list. This would save me money, but I almost always use the extra cash to buy more books.
They're really well-stocked in both the comics and games department, and anything that isn't on display in the store is probably something they can order for you. I just wish there were places like this everywhere - maybe then the Simpsons "Comic-Book Guy" stereotype wouldn't have flourished!
Best Comic Store in Orange County.
This is their new location -- crazy they have got EVERYTHING you could possibly want. It was hard to find for me at first, cause I'm blind....then I saw it off the freeway. Yeah! I found the comics I wanted and got my brother his game. So I was set. Will definitely go back. Store looks good, cool stuff, staff. (I went on Saturday).
