Not worth the wait. So we moved to Lake Forest in '03 and were happy to see a bagel shop near our home. The first couple of times we went in on the weekend, we noticed the counter help seemed glum. After a few more visits, we found them to be outright rude.

This would be worth it to us bagel lovers if the bagels were good...we'd settle for good if they are within a mile of the house. But, they are mediocre at best. The bagels do not taste as if they are done and are very bland. We have tried some of the special bagels but the toppings just don't cover up the fact that the bagels have no flavor.

I think because there is a lack of coffee shops in Lake Forest and the location is so central, the lines out of the shop are always long on Saturdays and Sundays. Don't let that fool you.

With tasteless bagels and rude staff (including the owner who is the sourest business owner I've run into in a long time) I recommend driving to another shop. We tried it again today after a long hiatus and found them to be the same as usual.

Try Brueggers or East Coast instead. Y
