A Great Happy Hour with a View
by TheBeachBum at Citysearch
Harpoon Henry's opened in 1975. It is owned by Wind & Sea Restaurants, Inc. who also operates a restaurant by the same name not too far away in the harbor. It specializes in seafood as does the Wind & Sea Restaurant. The locals know it for its happy hour. Most every day, the lounge offers a limited selection from the appetizer menu and about half price and selected drinks for about $4. There’s entertainment in the lounge on weekend evenings.
- Pros: Great Happy Hour
- Cons: A Bit Pricey
Great seafood, nice Harbor View, oustanding happy hour

The new menu created by Chef Lupe Silva is a welcome change. I have been a loyal customer for over 25 years (dining there twice a month) and have always thought the food & service to be outstanding. I feel very comfortable recommending Harpoons to my friends. The great view of the Harbor is another reason to make you feel that this a great place to go to relax and have a nice meal.
- Pros: Nice view, good food, very good value
- Cons: Happy Hour very crowded - arrive before 6
Dont bother to stop.

Harpoon Henry's is a spot you want to check out for the view ONLY. The service is less than satisfactory, the prices are extremely high for what you get, and as such, your protions are VERY SMALL. I had the SCALLOPS. Each of the (5) yes, thats five, was the size of a quarter, and there was (1) yes, thats one, strip of bacon that wound through the five scallops. With the cost of the dinner, I thought I would get at least good size scallops each wrapped in a strip of bacon ( you know, the way that most reputable establishments do). Service was horrible (we bike from place to place and always like to have our beverages full) we had to do multiple waive downs for more drink. Unless you are into paying top dollar for a view, steer clear of this location!
