Best tacos and salsa. I love this mexican place. They have great food, I really love there tacos. Friday nights you might have to wait to be seated. Don't make the mistake of going to any other of there locations, It's not the same food.

not a chain!. tough to find genuine mexican down in the oc, but this place comes close. i had and recommend the carne asada and ahi tacos. the salsa is a bit marginal - need to add some tomatoes kids! i am sure this place rocks for happy hour - margs was everyone! clearly best feature is the red-white-green painted parking stalls! i will come back again!

The best....... My wife is Mexican and her family is very discriminating when it comes to good Mexican food. I assume that all Avila El Ranchito restaurants have the same quality food but I am speaking on behalf of the Costa Mesa location. It is GREAT. The service is friendly (even to gringos like myself), the food is XLNT, the Margaritas are great, and almost too reasonably priced!!
