Great Indian food. I work a few blocks from this restaurant and love the food here so much sometimes I go for lunch two days in a row! I have never had the buffet, but I'll try it one of these days. I have always gotten my order to go, and the employees are very nice. Not a high end restaurant, but if you want great Indian food, this is a good place. I'm getting hungry just writing this, so I think I'll phone an order in!

Best India around!. I have been eating at Mother India now for over 5 years, everytime I go the food is just as good as the time before. The food is wonderful and so is the service. It is a small family owned restaurant and their India dishes are really the best around. I have eaten at almost every Indian place in Orange county and still think this tops the list. On top of great food they have great prices. You really can't go wrong here. It is not a fancy place but not a total hole in the wall either. If you love India food you have to try this place. I am sure it will become your favorite as well.

Bad Food, Worse Service, Worst Attitude. I am an Indian who has stayed in US for 15 years and I must admit this restaurant ranks at the very bottom. I write reviews only when the restaurant is very good (to help people) or very bad (to prevent people from suffering). This place has very few buffet items (5-6 dishes), but most were tasteless. Palak item was made without Paneer (standard) or even Tofu. Only relish was the Chicken Tikka Masala. But, we were upset to find that the item had no chicken remaining. Even after waiting for more than 15 mins, the item was not refilled. At this point, I had to call the manager to notify that we are disappointed about the lack of refills of buffet items. The manager tells, shockingly confronts us that "Do you know how long it takes to make Tikka Masala?" I immediately knew this place is obviously not expected to be customer friendly. I confronted by saying that it is their duty as a restaurant to refill the buffet items within reasonable time frame and this was not the way to treat customers. Then the discussion reached the nadir. The manager (a desi of course) says "All desis (a term for Indians) have an attitude!" No wonder there was not a single Indian in the restaurant, who would avoid a repeat visit and only filled with mall visitors. I want to warn people so as to prevent them from having a bad experience, not just customer service but mainly the fare that is provided. Do some search on the web, read reviews and visit an India restaurant that justifies the food.

Good Find for Good Indian Eats!. Being relatively new to the area, my wife and I were looking for some good Indian food. Surprisingly, there are no reviews for most of the Indian restaurants in the area, so we rolled the dice on this place and found a winner! We got there a little after 6, and even though it was busy we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. Attentive service, delicious food (in particular, the eggplant was awesome) and a miniscule dinner tab with drinks. No question we'll be back!
