The Scene – Taking a break from his upscale restaurant empire, Wolfgang Puck is conquering the midpriced market with this family-friendly chain. Once inside, it's as if someone tossed confetti--virtually no surface remains unscathed from the colorful mosaic tiles that decorate the place. Service is surprisingly subdued and pleasant, given the in-your-face decor. – – The Food – Skip the prettily plated spring rolls, with their oily wrappers and bland dipping sauce. Instead, start with the tortilla soup--shredded chicken and onions engulfed in a glorious, spicy tomato…
Not the restaurant it once was :(

I used to work here. A few years back when everything was made from scratch. I was the Saucier (sauces - marinades - soups - dressings - stuffings and fillings). Most everything now is prepared at a central kitchen somewhere in LA and shipped frozen to the cafe. I used to take great pride in thr preparation of the foods here. I would work with the head chef to develop delicious specials. That was then. Mr. Puck may as well call his cafes calimex now. Notice the "grand" cafe at the block has closed! BECAUSE THE FOOD IS BAD!
- Pros: Some of the waiters are cool.
- Cons: You'd do better to make a box of Kraft Mac n Cheese at home!
Ok Food, Rude Waiter
by daria000
The food was ok, as was to be expected. This is the second Wolfgang Puck's I've been to in So. Cal., and aside the squash soup, the rest is just "ok". Our waiter was rather rude, and not satisfied with our tip (we even tipped the average 15%), he actually charged our card more! And followed us out of the restaurant to make sure it was paid. Very strange. Nevertheless I will not return.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: Staff
