OMG I have never been so sick in my life

Something was squishy about the spicy tuna handroll but I had no idea i was in for an overnight stay in the emergency room that night. They've been closed for roaches. I hope they clean up their act before you eat there.
decent sushi

I love me some sushi! This place was just okay for me, though the staff was very, very nice. I ordered the tiger eye i think it was called, and it was not quite up to my standards. i also ordered a philly roll, which was good, but those are hard to mess up. My wife ordered some sashimi, she said it was edible, but she definately not what we would call excellent.
Over all if you are in the area its a great place to stop in for lunch , they have some specials. But if you are looking for some seriously good sushi, check out Slow Fish in HB- Amazing!!
- Pros: great service
- Cons: some of the fish was iffy
Best baked sushi rolls I have ever had!

The baked scallop rolls are the best I have EVER had!!! My husband and I were on a roadtrip a year ago from oregon to newport beach and stopped by this place randomly. We constantly reminisce about this place!!
Very good for the price

I've been in OC for almost 8 years and have avoided this place simply because of its name. Thought it was another one of those wanna-be sushi places catering to the not-so-sensitized palate. After getting a few recommendations from J-food connoisseurs, I decided to try it out. Brought my folks too. Sashimi was fresh. We had yellowtail, salmon, sweet shrimp and tuna (they were out of toro). Not the best tasting sashimi I've ever had, but for the price, it's worth it. $9 gets you 6 pcs of thick sashimi. We also ordered a lunch combo of tempura and yellowtail collar. Which were very tasty. Even came with miso soup and rice. All that for $8. The table next to us ordered mixed sashimi, and looked very good. Will try next time. Will also try their chirashi next.
- Pros: best value
Great rolls, and delicious udon
by insun at Citysearch
I have grown up on delicious sushi, and was hard pressed finding my "own" sushi place. I Love Sushi is that place. The sashimi was good, although not spectacular, but they have delicious tempura udon and mouth watering rolls. I like the fact that I can order any roll that I want, and the waitresses know what the roll is. There is something to be said about having japanese servers in a japanese restaurant. I have been to sushi places that have no udon, or the sushi chefs have no idea what a futomaki is. Huh? Great sushi, and delicious udon. They could have a wider array of sake and perhaps a little soju as well.
