I wanted to thank you again for the beautiful gown I received during the last Military Bride giveaway. I was one of lucky military brides that participated in the amazing military bride event that Mon Amie holds every year. The very first one that I tried on was the one...the one that I would have pictures of for the rest of my life. Even in all the chaos it was a great experience and a wonderful thing that Mon Amie did. Our wedding was wonderful due to the kindness of so many people. Thank you for your generosity. This review is for both Mon Amie bridal salon and its newest business, the Mon Amie Outlet. I worked with Chesson Duncan at the salon and Ryan Nelson at the outlet. I shopped for a bridal gown 6/08. I am paying for my own wedding, and the budget is small. I went to Mon Amie by myself, to try on dresses without the pressure of my mother, friends, etc weighing in. The greeting I received at Mon Amie was sincere and gracious. I was introduced to Chesson, who actually listened to my viewpoint and budget constraints. She never tried to upsell me on a dress, or ask me to try on a style that I didn't like. She offered honest impressions of the dresses I tried on...if something wasn't flattering, she politely let me know. For those with a higher budget, the sky is the limit. But even for those of us with a smaller budget there are options. After trying on some beautiful dresses at the Mon Amie salon, I wasn't ready to settle on anything. Chessson suggested the Mon Amie Outlet, which opened recently in 2008, and is connected to the main shop. I didn't expect much, frankly. Boy, was I wrong. If you can fit into a sample size (size 6 - 10), this is truly the hidden gem of the OC bridal industry, especially for those of us on a budget. The manager, Ryan Nelson, was friendly and helpful beyond belief. Both Ryan and Chesson showed me several gorgeous dresses within my budget ($1000 and under). I ended up purchasing an absolutely beautiful gown that requires just slight alteration (the normal alterations done to any wedding gown). I was able to get a dress of high quality fabric and great design for a fraction of its retail price. Mon Amie was professional, friendly, and cooperative. If you think that you can't afford a high quality wedding gown, stop by the Mon Amie outlet and give it a shot. I stumbled upon it and ended up with a gorgeous dress, *under my budget*...what else can you ask when planning a wedding?
