I dropped off 2 pairs of new slacks (one was brand new, one I had worn once) to have the hem let out on a Saturday. I was told they would be ready on Wednesday. I came to pick them up on Wednesday at 6:00 pm and was told that they weren’t ready, but that I could wait for them. She also proceeded to show me a 2 inch slit in the leg of the pants close to where she had cut the thread to take the hem out. She said that it was there and she wanted to bring it to my attention in case I wanted to return the pants. Having worn them once I know for a fact that I would have noticed a 2 inch slash in the pants and if nothing else one of us would have noticed it when we were looking the pants and the length I wanted them. It is clear that the seamstress accidentally cut the pants as she was working on them. The owner refused to admit fault and charged me for the work. I’m disappointed because I had hoped to become a long time customer of a mom and pop shop in my neighborhood.
Cons: Over-priced, dishonest, lacking skill
