In Short – This dining domain of well-heeled locals and businessmen is nestled in an Irvine office tower. The kitchen shows off both classics and innovations; pizza is topped with Black Forest ham and Gruyere. Crab cakes rest atop fire-roasted red peppers, and seared scallops are set off by tangy red-chili sauce and orange-papaya salsa. Homemade pastas include fettuccine with curry-marinated lamb, shiitake mushrooms and cream, and filet mignon in blue cheese sauce is a house favorite.

- A three-course prix-fixe menu changes daily, and is available for about $35.
- When to Go:
- Wine Garden Wednesdays offer patrons the chance to try selections from the restaurant's extensive cellar. Sample five-wine flights from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

- For a late, light meal, a scaled-down bar menu is served until 11pm, Sunday through Thursday, and until midnight Friday and Saturday.

A place with good service and and consistently good food. Excellent date place, except when they have live music playing because then it is hard to talk. The bands, though not great, can be fun for a group. Crowd is a little bit older, so it is a nice place to avoid the college crowd. They can't afford to eat there anyway.

Love the Sexy Ambiance

This is a great restaurant that you may miss because of it's odd location. This restaurant combines great food with an "art gallery" feel, as they rotate a variety of artwork that is available to look at and even purchase. There is a live band if you want to dance and a good sized bar. My FAVORITE dish, a dish I crave often, is the Shrimp Risotto. WOW, the risotto is the perfect texture, which is hard to find these days. Also, the garlic soup is to die for! They have a great wine list and offer 3 options when ordering by the glass; 3 oz, 6 oz or 9 oz. I like this. The only negative thing I would say is that 1 server there is VERY slow and inattentive. Also, if you are seated in the back you cannot capture the full ambiance of the restaurant.

I recently went for the first time and ate at the bar and the food was amazing and surprisingly very modest in price. The wine list was very extensive and bartenders were very friendly and fun. I highly recomend it, whether you're alone, on a date, or with friends! I had a memorable experience!

Bistango is a beautiful place all around! The food is some of the best I have ever had. My husband and I went there for a friends birthday and had a wonderful time we sat in the galleria and it was beautifully decorated. The staff was a bastion of service and cheer. The many questions I had were greeted with expertise and I was left at the end of meal wanting for not a single thing. A greater birthday one could not dream, a grander night one could not plan. Hats off bistango, hats off.
