Owned and operated by a serious gelato aficionado from Italy, it might be the only place in the neighborhood where you can find 18 different flavors of old-fashioned, homemade gelato in one place. Some flavors, like their signature creamy frate, are available every day, though it?s advisable to splurge on selections made with seasonal ingredients like fig or peaches when you can. Another regular customer favorite is the slightly tangy, smooth, and surprisingly tasty Modena, a balsamic vinaigrette reduction. The good news for people watching calories is that whole milk, instead of heavy cream, is used to make the gelato, and all the sorbettos are fat-free. Prices are standard and begin at $3 for a small serving. The shop also serves paninis and Italian coffee.

The best gelato in OC!. Love Frati Gelato! To me, nothing used to be better than Horizon organic ice cream. That's until Frati came to town!
