Tips for Tokyo Table

Good, but not the best. Even the most picky person can find something to eat here. The menu is very extensive and they have unique appetizers. I have always ordered sushi here and have nothing to complain about. Parking here is terrible and the service is slow most of the time but the food is generally good, but not great. Anything stir fried is way too greasy, but the garlic edamame is interesting. Very garlicy though. I've ordered the sushi pizza twice and it was really soggy everytime so I don't recommend it. I think this is a good place to try once in a while, but I've had much better Japanese food.

Best Japanese food in Irvine!. Ok, it's official, this place has the best Japanese food in Irvine! I live in Newport Beach, with tons of sushi places, but I drive to Tokyo Table for one thing: selection, selection, selectoin! Not only do they have TONS of sake but they have incredibly unique dishes. You have to try the sushi pizza! I know, it sounds weird at first, but it is incredibly good and filling. I really want to try their late night happy hour- prices look good. Honestly, the best thing about Tokyo Table is that you can go their all the time (like I do) and try a new thing everytime! Last night I went for my birthday and I reserved the private dining room. Super cute and cozy! This place is awesome!!

Great Setting With Average Food. Atmosphere & service make a big difference in case of Tokyo Table. I give 5 stars for decor, atmosphere & service. Nice place to go out on a date, or go for happy hours, or a small dinner gathering. Food however was mediocre - 3 star.

Their homemade cold tofu & gyoza for starters are good, but nothing special. Kaisen-Don (sashimi style rice bowl) is again average. Shoyu Ramen Noodles was fine, except for the oily broth, that was a major turn-off. I keep hearing about their sushi pizza, beef tataki & martinis, so we'll have to check it out the next time around.

yummy beef tataki, the rest was just ok.. This Japanese fusion restaurant offers a variety of dishes from all over, they have dishes like Bibimbap (Korea), Szechuan-style tofu (China), grilled pesto salmon (Italy), rib-eye steak, chicken wings, and of course all the sushi rolls. The best dish by far was the Beef Tataki - seared prime beef slices on top of balsamic vinaigrette sushi rice topped with crispy fried onions. I also tried their chinese dish (Szechuan-style spicy tofu) and it was kind of slimey and bland. Their pork chop was overcooked and dry. Maybe they should stick with Japanese fusion instead of everything fusion.

Creative and fun place, great service and food!!!. I went here for lunch with my co-workers on Wednesday and it was great!! The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. The service was quick and the food was delicious. They have a nice lounge area where you can hang out as well. I would definitly recomment this place for everyone including families with children. The menu offers a variety of items that I am sure everyone will find something they will like. Also, many items are unique and fun so that few trips back is definitly in my plans. The only issue would be the parking. It gets crowded so make sure you plan extra time to find the parking spot.

Citysearch Editorial Review. The tantalizing tastes of Tokyo have moved up and out from under the bright lights of L.A. and into Orange County with Tokyo Table's follow-up location. Black booths rub up against rich wood paneling, a stylish clash of old and modern Japanese decor that warmly envelopes its diners. Wooden chandeliers hang from the ceiling, their antique-chic vibe adding to the earthy flow of the spacious restaurant. Located in the Diamond Jamboree Center, this Japanese fusion gem offers a whole host of traditional and contemporary Japanese dishes ranging from rainbow rolls to mochi cheese gratin to seared beef tataki sushi. Try their house specialty sushi pizza for a unique pop of jalepeno-and-crab, or their smooth homemade tofu, perfect for a warm autumn night.
