UM,,,,,make therapist makes session...AWKWARD!. OK, so i don't go online to bash places especially if some elements of the service was good. But I have an issue now. I called and booked an appointment and was able to get in half an hour after my call. The receptionist was nice and I was able to get in right away after arriving about 10 minutes before my massage. SO that is what the one star is for. The decor is cool but the place is small, especially the rooms.

I went in for pain and a very extreme headache and migraine so the therapist was actually a physical therapist. I never get male therapists but agreed to it this time due to the limit in availability and my last minute appointment.

So when it was time to start the massage and THE THERAPIST DIDN'T STEP OUT FOR ME TO CHANGE, i thought that was VERY WEIRD. He just turned around and looked at the wall and waited and talked to me while i changed to get into the massage table. In all the years i've received massages at resorts and hotels and other massage places, that has never happened.

Then when the massage was over and It was time to get up, he did it again, he just said he was going to step to the side and look at the wall while i got out to put my clothes back on. That is not F-ing relaxing, nothing about that is relaxing. I need my privacy. SO I had to ASK HIM TO STEP OUT OF THE ROOM. He said it was because the bed was situated diagnally and limited the space for the door to open. He adjusted the massage bed like 3 inches and was able to get out.

Why did I have to ASK HIM to step out,?????? He should know that, that should be a company policy especially with male therapists and female clients. That is not the standards of a respected massage establishment, that should NEVER happen and I should not have to ask for a male therapist to step out. If there is not enough space in the room they need to remove the side table with the model of the spinal cord displayed.

As for the massage, it was decent, the pain was mostly in my head, neck, temples and back but he did some hip and leg therapy too which I could have done without since I had clearly purchased the "Back on Track" session which focuses on tension headache and as stated on their website targets the neck and back. Also, I had asked for moderate pressure when filling out the forms and the pressure was so hard, I had to ask 3 times to step it back a little. Other negatives, thought the room was cold and since he didn't use much oil, the massage pressure hurt my skin at times because of the dryness.

So I will definitely be returning back to either MASSAGE ENVY or one of the many resorts in Laguna instead. You get what you pay for in terms of quality of people, experience and service.

Ladies, just a heads up IN CASE YOU GET A MALE THERAPIST HERE, tell him to get the F**&%k out of the room when you change!

Very relaxing!. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, loved my massage-Knotstop offers a great membership program and have very professional therapists. Highly recommend Joshua or Alicia!

One of the Best Massages EVER. Got a postcard from a friend of a friend. Wonderful deal. Couldn't believe it was true. Got there and the staff was friendly and helpful. The massage therapist was very thorough and knowledgeable. Very clean.

Awesome Place!!. I had a wonderful experience at the Knot Stop. The staff was very friendly and professional and the ambiance was very relaxing. The massage therapist very much knew what she was doing from start to finish. Having had many massages in the past, I was very impressed and bought a gift cerficate on my way out! So glad they aren't far from me in Aliso Viejo....I plan to return and am sending my friends! Check it out!

Thanks, but no thanks. Uh, are these guys licensed? I had a bad experience, start to finish. The receptionist wasn't friendly and it was hard to get an appointment. Then the massage was lousy. I mean, if i wanted to put lotion on myself I would rather than pay for someone to put it on! I say, Thanks but no thanks to that massage to nowhere!
