Great place for the burger aficionado.. My job brings me to Irvine about 3-4 times a month and the counter has become a steady source of goodness. One big difference between the counter and other burger joints is not only the build your own burger extravaganza, but I like the fact that all the beef is humanely raised and they make all their sauces on site. Ha! bet you didn't know that, they seem to keep it a secret for some reason.

Anyway, the thing the keeps me coming back time after time is really the satisfied feeling, it is simply a good meal that hits the spot each time. I enjoy the Stella's in the Stella glasses too, classy.

Oh, sometimes it does get a bit busy but anyone single or couple seem to be able to find a chair at the counter pretty quickly.

Great Experience, Yummy Food & a very Friendly & Helpful Staff!. I really enjoyed the ability to have my own special creation of a burger ~ and boy was it delicious! I don't know what the previous reviewer had going on that day (maybe they woke up on the wrong side of the bed) but our experience (including all the staff) was great and really helpful. This was my first visit and I will be back for sure (lots more burger creations to try)...

Best Burger in the OC. Best Burger in the OC hands down....if you can get your hands away from the burger that is.

Great selection of Burgers, and lay back atmosphere.

Try the sweet potato fries they are to die for.

Best Burger in the OC. I love this place. They offer wine and the turkey bugers are delicious. Good portions. I like the onion and pickle toppings. The staff is very freindly and they take care of their customers. I highly recommend this place.

Yummy!. The Counter is my new favorite spot. I have been several times since the opening and continue to find new great tasting burger combinations. My most recent visit included my favorite burger which I've ordered several times. It consists of a 1/3 pound burger, Garlic Aioli spread, Avocado, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and blue cheese. This burger is the most!! Always cooked just right.

I am also a fan of the Chicken in a bowl for those diet days and I've been able to create (after a few attempts) the perfect BBQ Chick Salad. There really isnt anything that you cant create here which is the best part about this restaurant. The service is always great and The Counter just has a good vibe overall.
