Be early or Save your time.
When: Friday Jan-23-09
Basically, we paid 7 dollars for parking ( not a big deal since admission was free) and we were in line at 10:45pm. After about an hour waiting in line we moved up to the front with only 3 people ahead of us. We stayed there for another hour and 15 min, total, 2hrs 15 min. The whole line was complaining about the wait, of course. Not once did they ever announce to the the line that they were at capacity, they just kept letting people in through side or the back entrance. I must of seen 100 people get in before me after waiting in line for an hour, srsly no joke. My mind set was, Get in, Look around and check out the environment so I at least know what all the fuss is about. It's a nice looking place but not worth the time. Bottom Line, get there extremely early,or go some where else, park some where else other then there lot, and avoid their staff, because they are some of the ruddiest people I have ever encountered.
Cheesy and Lame.
This place is just another cheese fest in Orange County. The decor, the lighting, the staff...all of it. No originality and an 8$ an hour staff at the door that behaves like people owe them something. Robert at the front door is a complete d*ck. We arrived at 945 pm, the club was empty, and he made us wait like it was midnight and we were in Hollywood.
Too many Indians and Persians; and I'm a middle eastern saying this! Cheesy, Cheesy, Cheesy.
F*ck Robert, he is a doorman that acts like a infamous diplomat.
Bartenders. So the first time I went to ilounge I thought maybe I was charged too much on my bar tab and when I confronted the bartender she told me that other people were ordering off of my tab. I understood and paid the tab. Idiot! Second time I opened up my tab and I counted my drinks. I counted maybe 15 to 18 drinks. Don't ask I'm an alcoholic. And it was later confirmed with one of the blonde bartenders that I ordered 17 drinks. But my tab was $170 . So could this be that my drinks were ten dollars each. Well do the math. 4 Cranberry vodka' and 8 shots of vodka 4 were 10$ each and 2 rum and cokes and one beer. That is for sure the amount on the tab. So does this club actually charge 10 and more per drink. I don't know but I paid my tab because my bartender was nowhere to be seen.
Fun Times! Great food & a "mean" martini!. I recently visited ILounge for the first time with some co-workers. It was a great place, nice decor and really great food (especially the artichoke pizza & the crab cakes)! YUM...Our server (wish I remembered his name) was TERRIFIC. He was friendly and never let our drinks get too low...he was also a great sport when one of our gals started dancing with him!! Everyone we met that worked there was wonderful (thanks Leslie for your wonderful care & attention). I only wish I'd saved more room for their desserts...
Nice place but Bad service. My friends and I got a table with a pretty waitress, but she had no idea what she was doing. She didn't wipe are tables which were sticky, and failed to give us enough menus. She placed our orders on the dirty tables and our utensils were dirty too. The service is terrible, the food was good, and the place itself was nice. For an upscale lounge the service was definitely not. The pizza and Halibut is delicious. The price is reasonable. I would recommend just to check out the place, but they really need to work on their service. I go there to dance and hang out, but the staff seems to always be changing. They certainly will not get any regulars here. There were a lot of other clubs around Ilounge and they were not as difficult to find. I would check those out. The ladies are a lot prettier than at Ilounge.
Best Hot Spot in the OC for food, drinks, dessert, nightlife, events and parties.
I went to the iLounge for a Christmas Party on a Wednesday night and the service was amazing. They made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious. I highly recomend the Pizza appetizer, crab cakes, Sea Bass as main entree and if you love chocolate you have to go for the chocolate dessert. Oh my!!!
I also had a VIP event there with agroup of girls on Friday night and it was a blast. Great nightlife atmosphere, beautiful people, stiff drinks, great service and music.
Rudest Door Staff EVER. We decided to go check out Ilounge because our friend is tight with one of the guys who promotes on Fridays. Well, location is a bit strange, so I suggest navigation at at least mapquesting ahead of time to avoid the annoyance of driving round and round. So we get there, mandatory valet, stupid if you have to wait in a long line to get it, but we were ok with the $5. So we get to the door, and OMG can you have a ruder door staff?? We were on the list, but the promoter wasnt at the door so we dealt with a blond chick, Naomi I think her name was, not sure. What an attitude on this girl, with no right whatsoever, snappy and rude. That already started us off on a bad foot. So then some little dude (not surprising) with a clipboard, Im sure the same guy as the other poster, was just as rude. What a bad way to make an impression. Once we got inside, after the promoter came out, club was packed. Little problem with the a/c in certain areas, but overall a decent crowd, good music. We had bottle service, but unfortunately our blondie dingbat server was too busy socializing, and doing shots with her other table to pay any attention to us. Bottle prices are reasonable with a few bottles under 300. All in all not a bad club but they need to seriously reconsider what good service means.
damn this night was awesome.....
I went last Friday and had a blast, the lines were long and i was thirsty. it was me and my boys ready to have a good time and hopefully get something to go home with. we tried waiting in the line but after about 5 minutes and watching this little guy with a clipboard take pay offs we decided if you cant beat them JOIN them. We walked to the front of the line and got told to stand to the side. When i got a chance i slipped the bouncer 120 for 3 guys, thats a pretty good deal i thought, this guy handed it right back and said no i needed to wait, you gotta be kidding me. This dude was retarded, so we waited and when the due with the clipboard came by we gave it to him and he ushered us right the dumb bouncer, that guy couldve made 120 but stupidly said no. WE got inside and the first thing was the crowd we had to practically kick and scream to get through the front door. some other dumb fat bouncer was chilling with some females. once we finally got in its was alright the crowd was cool, lots of females. The music was cool and the staff wasnt bad. overall this night was cool. but if you want to get past the lines and start enjoying the night sooner then later look for the little guy with the clipboard. no list or table just kick him some cash and its cool. i think his name was brandon. be slick and smooth or he wont do it. enjoy the night.
get some BITCHES
Great Spot in Orange County. Having grown up in Newport my entire life and now having lived in New York for almost 2 years....it's always nice to come home and see family and friends.....but it is very rare to actually find a spot in OC that has a review worthy nightlife. As most know, not many places compare to what New York has to offer-- restaurants and lounges/clubs.....well, with iLounge, I think OC may have nailed the mark precisely!! In a space aesthetically pleasing as any 5 Star dining venue in NY, iLounge's decor is beautiful. Sleek and sophisticated, while all the while, the entire restaurant and club has this chic feel-- from the Red Room to the outside patio, iLounge exudes a perfect sense of balance. The food is outstanding....celebrating my birthday dinner here, my personal favorite was the sea bass. After finishing a perfect meal accompanied by a very impressive wine list, we took my birthday into the lounge. From the cocktails to the bottle service to the dj spinning....I couldn't really complain about anything. Well, maybe the fact that you can't smoke inside and that the club closed at 2am....but hey, only New York allows you to smoke inside and dance till 4am!!! All in all, as a New Yorker, I definitely definitely would recommend iLounge for THE BEST place in OC!
Best spot in OC!. I went over to ilounge over the weekend, and sadly enough i wasn't able to get in on friday...it was absolute chaos outside and the lines were filled with people trying to get into the doors. i was with a friend and we weren't on a list, so we decided to come back on saturday night with a couple of girls...the guy at the door was really busy, so another guy who didn't look like he worked there came up to us and started chatting with us. we told him that we had been there the night before and that we couldn't get in...he quickly asked one of the bouncers to id all of us and told us that he would be taking care of us. he then returned with the vip host and we were walked in to the club. once inside, we were surprised at how hot the crowd was. the ratio was about 50/50, and the servers and bartenders were all hot as well. the bar was packed and we had to wait about 10 minutes to get the first round, but there was enough eye candy to keep us occupied while we waited. the music was a mix of top 40 and electro and the dance floor was full of people shaking it. all in all we had a great time, but i would recommend going with girls or getting bottle service if you want to make sure you get in since they are always busy on the weekends. having lived in oc all my life, i would say that this is definitely the hippest spot i've been to, and it will keep us from having to go to l.a. to experience a hip joint.
