Good Experience.
Let me start by saying I did my homework on the vehicle, I knew what I wanted, I was pre-approved for a loan, and understand that car salespeople are employed to sell cars.
I was shopping for a Ford Edge and visited three dealerships, Power Tustin, Ken Gordy Alhambra, and Huntington Beach. I was treated well and had a good experience at all three dealerships, but Huntington Beach had the trim and specifications I wanted at the time of my purchase.
Alex from internet sales was the salesman I worked with and he was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous.
When it came time to negotiate the process was straightforward and surprisingly fast. I was pre-approved through my credit union for a loan and intended to finance the car privately. Alex ran the numbers through the manager once and was able to beat the rate and we financed with Ford.
Max from finance was friendly and made signing the roughly 25-30 forms as pleasant as possible. He was thorough in his explanation of all the forms that were signed and there were no surprises.
I'll repeat that I did my homework before stepping on the lot, but from test drive to the drive home, it only took me about two hours. I found everyone I worked with to be courteous and professional, and based on my experience I would recommend this dealership to my friends.
Run away!. Buy a used truck anywhere but here, or expect to have to take it somewhere else to make it right and include that cost in consideration for buying. I purchased a 2003 F250 Super Duty 4wd 6.0 diesel after being told about the new turbo charger, tires and three fuel injectors they had installed, and being informed it had been through every inspection possible and nothing else was wrong. The day after I bought it I drove it 300 miles to my house in Lake Havasu City, AZ. As soon as I was on the freeway it became apparent why my test drive was only at low speed through a residential neighborhood. The truck was really hard to keep in its lane and I didn't know enough about them to know that by the 128,000 miles on this odometer to expect it to have had the ball joints replaced. I also didn't know that this is an expensive ($3000) repair requiring removal of everything from the front axle. I also noted that the truck dripped oil on my driveway and the heater core was shot so that it steamed the windows and produced a smell of coolant inside the cab. Upon my return to OC after the weekend I went straight to HB Ford where I was told that they had already spent too much money on this truck and I had bought it "as is". I was told I would receive a call-back to confirm that they were not going to touch it, but never did. So, 1 week after my purchase I ended up incurring a $5800 bill for repairs at in independent diesel repair shop. The oil leak was even found to have been caused by the replacement of the injectors at HB Ford. By the way they make you write in your own handwriting over and over again that the sale is "as-is", it seems they know they are not quite upfront with their sales and want to be sure they are armed to defend themselves. I have never before had to sign so many "as-is" statements with any other used car purchase, and should have smelled something was up at this point. Oh yeah and there is also that 3-year fabric and paint protection that is thrown in as a mandatory part of the purchase... I even had to buy a key fob separately in order to use the remote entry feature of this truck. My next Ford will definitely not come from HB Ford. I have had much better experiences in the past with other Ford dealerships in the area, which is probably why I was trusting enough to get taken for such a ride this time. I thought the "used car salsemen" stereotype had mostly disappeared from major dealerships, but apparently it is alive and quite well at Huntington Beach Ford.
They went above the call of duty. We drove over 3 hours to buy a 2006 F350 Super Duty from Hntington Beach Ford. My Wife and I highley recommend this dealership. They went above the call of duty to help us. We traded in a 2002 Chevy because Ford makes an all-around better truck. Keep up the good work Huntington Beach Ford!
I would definitely go back. I would definitely go back for some information on their cars and to service my expedition.
Exceptional service. My husband and I bought 2 cars within 6 months of each other from Huntington Beach Ford; a new Mustang and used Lexus and we had exceptional service on both. The minute we drove up customer service was asking if we just needed something to make our visit more comfortable. We bought both cars from Tim and he was very professional and helpful all the way around.
Best prices in town. They were very low pressure. They also had the best prices in town, we had been shopping for weeks until we found HB Ford.
I have referred over 10 people. I have referred over 10 people to them and will keep doing so until they let me down!
Priced well. This dealership is very willing to work with you. The prices on the used cars and truck are priced well.
A positive experience from start to finish. A positive experience from start to finish
