I love this place. This place is great, very modern and the gym is ridiculous. Only complaint is that you have to pay for parking ($10/day self or $20/day for valet). The gym is nice with all state of the art equipment, by far the nicest place I have ever worked out in. The pools are gym like so nothing fancy. The restaurant and bar are very trendy, great place to watch a UFC fight since that is what was going on this weekend. I love that we can plan a last minute memorial day weekend here and there is always availability. The rates aren't bad either but you are a good 10-15 minutes to Laguna Beach (and $5 in tolls!). We stay here since we have friends that are 2 minutes away in Aliso and just hang with them most of the time. Dining and shopping nearby is great, there is also a theater and plenty of parks to have fun with the kids. We stay here about 2-3 times each summer and the service is always consistently great.

Why would you workout somewhere with cancer warning signs?. Why would you want to workout, increase oxygen to your lungs in a sealed up room that emits smells from the chemical cleaners used there - towels stink like soap, attendants spray harsh chemicals in the gym continuously. There is a big warning sign upon entering the door near the childrens center that they use chemicals KNOWN TO CAUSE CANCER AND REPRODUCTIVE HARM here. Why would you drop your children for 3 hours and breath this into your body if you are truely concerned about your health? I can not breath in the spin room closed up and smelling the toxic chemicals coming from the towels.

It doesn't get any better than this. By far the nicest gym there is. Service is awesome. Trainers are top notch. Equipment is phenominal (all aerobic equipment has built in TV's, Ipod hookups, USB memory slot for recording your workouts)

The locker room has clean upscale layout and each locker has a built-in electronic lock which are quite easy to use if you are 4 years or older. There seem to be endless amounts of classes varying from easy to extrememly advanced. Indoor basketball, raquetball, squash. 2 saltwater pools, multiple jacuzzi's, sauna's(dry and steam). Great gym, Great location, Great results.

The home of my fav class: Ripped. When I read abovedarim21's review, I had to add. I know exactly what class he/she is talking about. I take it every Saturday. Love the class and yes, there's always a massive group of people waiting to take it. If you don't run in there and grab your weights, you'll end up in the back. Really popular class and for good reason.

I also love the Citrus Grill ... Their new menu "The Other Menu" is delish. The sea bass and filet mignon are to die for. The angus burger is sinfully good as well. If you want healthy, 485 cal or below, try the flat breads.

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!!!. I see two reviews from people who have visited from out of town, staying at the hotel. They don't get the day to day lack of attention to customer service. To pay $130 a month for a club fee you should get service. The women's lockers many times either don't lock or lock you out which then you may be just in a towel from showering and you have to reach an attendant to let you back in your locker. This happens a lot!!! The steam room has been broken down for weeks. I called to have my membership put on hold do to this and the fact that they will be closing off the sauna, jacuzzi, steam room area to repair the steam room for about a week.

I joined this gym for this area and the weight room so why pay when half of why I go there is not working.

They insisted to charge me a $35 fee to hold my account till February. I even called the last week of December to the director who failed to return my call. I had to call them again on Jan 1st yet did not get a call back until Jan 2. They say a $35 charge is policy since it was past the 1st of the month!!!!! Well, had they bothered to return my call it would not be past the 1st of the month AND it is not like I am going out of town it is that THEY have a facility in which I am paying for that is not working.

When reaching out to those higher up beyond the Club . . . it gets really frustrating and messy because it is owned by Marriott. Good luck in getting the right person on the phone to deal with this location. Utter nightmare and NOT WORTH IT!!!

Simply the Best!!. This place is amazing. I stayed last weekend to visit some friends in OC and they recommended this new hotel to me. When I got there I was really impressed. The entryway is really spectacular with it's high ceilings and easy access to check in. The rooms are a bit small but I guess a boutique feel is what they are going for. The healthclub on the opposite side of the hotel is second to none. They had all of the newest equipment around and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I couldn't believe the buzz around the club on Saturday morning with all of their classes. I guess the "Turbo Kick" lady teaches there and the class after that had amazing energy too with all of the people waiting for it. My regular club in Beverly Hills could learn a thing or two from this place. Next time I'm in the Aliso Viejo area I will definitely staying at the Renaissance Club Sport. Good Job guys!!!
