33.614557 -117.930346A painful and disappointing experience.... I as the previous owner of salon I was taken for a ride in the sell of the business. The new owner (Kelvin Khang) still owes $20,000 for the business. I hope you look somewhere else to do business ie. The Hair West salon is a good salon in the same area. I would give my local address, but I think that would be in bad form. Here is my phone number for any clients that wish to find out more. Robert (949) 872-8768.
Most enjoyable hair cutting experience.
As someone who dreads going to the salon, I can say that there was nothing painful about this trip. I had my appointment with Andrew, who specializes in color and was excellent. I had just wanted a trim, and through every step he made sure he understood what I was looking for. He also made a suggestion for my hair color, and he was so excited about the possibility, that he got me excited too. I decided to try it, and was very happy with the outcome. He told me that even if people request something be done to their hair that he knows won't look good, he won't let them do it. That's how much he cares about the quality of his work.
Throughout the appointment, he made sure I was always comfortable: magazines, water/tea, feeding quarters into the meter where my car was outside, and even going down the street to get me a bagel when I was starving and waiting for the color to set. Also, from now until April 15, 2008, the salon is offering a set-your-own-price deal. It sounds too good to be true, but it is the real deal. They regularly charge around $65 for a cut, but realize that people are a little short on cash around tax season, and they want to be flexible. Even if you have never been there before, you can make an appointment and set your own hair price. I can't stress enough, this was the best time I have ever had getting my hair cut.
Did he tell you he would not do anything to your hair he thought would not look good? A seasoned hairstylist considers what you think and feel not just what looks good to the stylist. The clients perspective is of the utmost importance in comfort and style. Style is as much about how you feel with your looks as the looks themselves. Call me for any real advice in hair and style and together we'll succeed. Robert Curtis(949)872-8768. Previous owner of Hair Studio 409.
