Beautiful!. The food is wonderful here, but its the atmosphere that really takes the cake. The layout is splendid and the ambiance is so relaxing.
Nice Atmosphere! Management should be more accomodating.... I went to Kimera last Monday night for the first time. Great place and good food. The bar area was really nice and had comfy chairs to lounge in. Very chill and the perfect place for a date. I specifically chose to try this place because of the reviews and the fact that they had 50% off all dinner items on Monday night. So I ordered the Shrimp Scampi with Risotto. Kind of a small plate for the price and not as good as I expected. I also tried the Curry Chicken Pizza which I thought was really good. My date ordered the Penne with Chicken dish which was also very good. When I received my bill, I had expected the prices to be half off, but instead I was charged full price because my date and I chose to sit in the bar/lounge area instead of the dining area. I asked the waitress about this and she kindly told me she would talk to the manager about it to try and give me the discount. I told her to tell the manager that I was a first time customer, but they refused to accomodate me. It was misleading to me because had I chose to sit on the other side of the restaurant, I would have saved $30 and they didn't bother to tell me that. And as a first time customer, I would think that making me a repeat customer would be more important than charging me full price. Live and learn. Just make sure that if you want to take advantage of the Monday night 50% special, that you SIT IN THE DINING AREA and not the bar/lounge.
Excellent food & service. This restaurant was absolutely STUNNING! I must say its photos do not do it justice at all. The atmosphere was relaxing but elegant and the service was excellent. The prices were very affordable for the quality of the food, especially on Monday nights when everything is 50% off. I highly suggest the London sirloin, it was delicious! Definitely a MUST-TRY restaurant!
Beautiful. I love the nice layout. The bamboo makes it light in there. Its a great place to take your girl on a special occasion
Awesome happy hour!!!. Love Kimera! On Mondays you can get half off their entire food menu in the dining room, plus from 4-7 they have happy hour (half off appetizers and $5-6 drinks in the trendy bar/lounge area.) Friendly and attractive staff, great place to go out with friends after work! They even had a DJ on a Tuesday night!
Amazing Happy Hour. So I've been hearing about the happy hour at this place for awhile and I gotta say it's pretty amazing. The drinks are great but the food totally makes it. For $5 you can try smaller versions of a lot of their menu items, perfect for a tasty bite. I definitely recommend the pork belly and the pizza, they go well with a nice cocktail after work.
Editorial Review. Part low-key lounge, part globally-tinged restaurant, this eye-catching destination is adding a new twist to the everyday dining experience.
Best lounge scene. Finaly a place that serves great food and has a bar that stays open late... It's about time the OC gets a place like this! I love their new menu. Big change since they opened.
My new favorite!.
WOW!, was the first thing that came to my mind when i walked in the door. The place was like noting else I have ever seen, suspended Bamboo ceilings, and bold art everywhere. It seemed modern with out being cold.
We ventured into the bar for a drink before we sat down to dinner, where i absolutely fell in love with their low buttery leather sofas. The bar was crowed but there was still able to make may way to the bar, where to my surprise they not only carried a new version of my favorite drink, a Bellini, but the had an array of champagne cocktails to pick from. I settled on their "Bella-Lini",vodka and champagne with fresh peach & raspberry puree. I was delighted at the new twist, but I must say it had more of a kick than my old favorite.
We made our way to a table after the drink, where a young waitress greeted us with a warm smile. We glanced through the menu for awhile before i just decided to ask her for some suggestions on the menu. She looked at me with a blank stare, but shortly after recovered and guided me to a couple of choices. I was pleasantly surprised when our dinner arrived and it was as artful in it's presentation as the restaurant itself. The meal was excellent, no complains at all. As for the service, you could tell it was not the most experienced staff, but they were was pleasant and accommodating. Which made for a nice experience.
Needless to say, I can't wait until my next visit.
