Fairly sterile atmosphere unless live music is kicking and place is populated with fun people. Wine bar is "ok" with a better bottle selection in the retail space. The wine "pouring" apparatus is too robotic and disconnected for me. Much rather have interaction with the bartender who is pouring the wine straight from the bottle. Just me......
Lame Lame Lame.
They were lame and snotty,
their "wide selection of wine is limited to 60 or so shitty lables at the bar, then they tell you it will be 10$ just to open a bottle of good wine,
their argument was " most places sell this for 100! ours is only 90.00 dollars".... plus a 10 dollar fee ?!
isnt that 100 dollars either way? people like this deserve to fail. morons dim lighting and jazz music does not make you hip.
Best kept secret!. Wonderful ambiance! Great prices, knowledgeable staff, all in all a perfect little secret :)
good prices.
I bought a bottle of nice champagne here for a special event. service was quick and the price was very reasonable. rivals discount stores even
Thanks
Pretty good. This is a nice chill spot. The prices of the wine is decent. Definitely cheaper than other places..
Small pour, pricey for the location.
It is a casual, nice place but for the price of the wines it should be in Newport. A "full" glass is a 5 oz pour and the lowest priced wine is $6. I do not mind paying $10 for a good glass of wine at a nice restaurant, and it's usually at least 6 ozs. Same for their wine & cheese platter. $11 and barely a snack for two.
Nice enough place just be prepared to spend some bucks.
Little Tastes. I have been here 2 times & liked it. I thought the costly tastes were short. I enjoyed the wine & had bought a couple of bottles. I wanted to share one with the bar & they wanted to charge me a corkage fee. Ok, bought the wine there, everyone had their glass already. I thought that was ridiculous, as we had all been spending money like crazy there. I will go back cuz it is close.
We offer over 75 menu items. All priced very fairly relative to bars/restaurants. If someone chooses to open a bottle in the bar we do not have a problem with it. If you bought a bottle at a bar/restaurant you would probably pay 2 to 3 times retail. We don't do that. The $10 dollar fee is to help cover overhead in the bar which is 3 or 4 times the overhead of our retail space. With the growth of wine bar/retail combinations a service fee for opening bottles in the bar is commonplace.
As to the bar size; we recently received a new liquor license that allows us to serve through out the store. We have added table seating areas that have doubled our bar capacity.
Our state of the art preservation system is pre-calibrated to cut down on waste. The tastes are priced according to bottle cost. It is very important to us to serve the freshest wine possible.
Thanks for your continued support. I hope this explains our policies.

WOW! Great Time.......... What a great time! Went last weekend and had an incredible time. The ambience is of roman decor and very classy. They had great live music when we were there. There were lots of different wines to choose from at the bar and the staff (Brian) was very knowledgable about wines. If your into wine or just looking for a cool trendy place to hangout then I would highly recommend this place. lots of fun...... Go USC!!!
The best we've ever experienced!!!. Not only are the wines that you can taste at the bar really top quality from all regions....but the pricing is reasonable and the owners and staff are a wealth of great information on whatever type or taste of wine you are looking for. I would go there to pick out a great everyday drinking wine or to find something special at a good value for yourself or a perfect gift. And the convenience of your own wine locker is a great addition as well as the "girls night out" , monthly wine club perks and other special events, they really do things with knowledge and class. The live music is a great way to wind down a busy work week or end a great weekend. They take very good care of you, I highly recommend it as the perfect end to anyday!!
Editorial Review. Along with live Jazz nights, this wine bar and shop offers more than 600 foreign and domestic labels, including champagne.
