great food ...great service.. overdone music..
We had a Welocme Express coupon/gift cert for this place which is a great way to introduce someone who is new to the area. We're glad we discovered it.
We went around 9 on a Friday night, we were a little concerned about how ridiculously loud the music was when we walked in .wondering if we could even stay. The owner greeted us and offered a cozy booth in hte back behind the awesome fish tank and 'away' from the very noisy bar area. Unfortunately the music was still sooo loud we still could not converse easily nor could we communicate with our waiter... no need to have it THAT ridiculously loud.. anyone within a block or 2 outside could hear it! it needs to be tuned down some! GEEZ! Anyway, Our server, David, was truly amazing as was promised, and our food was very good.
I love music and the band seemed good..just too darn loud... either go and enjoy dinner before or bring earplugs. its deafening and it would have been a prefect night otherwise. and we may have stayed longer and spent more....

Hi Holly,
We are just as pleased that you found our establishment, and are thrilled to hear you dining and service experience was wonderful! We apologize for the music volume, some bands can be a bit lounder than others, and we usually try to keep it at a level that allows all our customers to have a good time! With summer approaching we hope to get you back, and maybe steer you toward one of our comfy, cozy outside tables, complete with fans, to keep you cool, and with the patio doors closed, a better buffer against the music.
Thank you again for joining us, and we look forward to serving you in the near future!

Ladera Ranch casuals cut loose over Caribbean cuisine in a funky, beach-themed vibe..
In Short
Catering to the O.C.'s laid-back beach lovers, this colorful spot features live blues, reggae or jazz music nightly. Patrons can dine on the park-view veranda, or step inside to experience walls of local artwork, a behemoth fish tank, and a full bar crafted from driftwood and recycled picnic tables. Island flavors predominate the menu, which includes dishes like Caribbean skirt steak with fried plantains, rum butter jerk chicken, and avocado egg rolls with Thai macadamia nut sauce.
