Bordering Fullerton's SOCO (South of Commonwealth) District, away from all the rowdiness of the area's other bars, is where you'll find Orange County's oldest drinking den. Open since 1925, The Continental Room resembles a 60s-style lounge and martini bar with jazz and Sinatra playing in the background and decor that combines everything from an antique phone booth and a working cigarette machine to dim red lighting. - Happy Hour happens daily from 2pm to 8pm, with well drinks and beer specials. There are performers and eclectic DJs daily on the burlesque-style stage at the end of the bar. You can catch an Elvis impersonator on Wednesday nights, with Vegas style shrimp cocktails for $1.99 to add to the theme!

- If youre running late, take advantage of the valet--nearby parking will be hard to find.

Worst bar ever!

Worst service ever!!! Completely rude staff. Waitress asked me to leave a table, that I had been at for about 20 minutes drinking and talking with friends, because when it gets crowded they have a $150 min. to sit at a table. I told her I would in a minute, just wanted to finish my drink, she said that was fine as it wasn't crowded yet. 30 seconds later she came back and said "You have to leave now...there is a customer waiting for this table". I said give me another minute, just want to finish my drink. She said "You have to leave now". I got up, told her she was being rude and I would never come back. She said "Get out, I don't care if you come back"...she then grabbed my arm and twisted it in order to spill the rest of my drink on to the floor and yanked the glass out of my hand. I walked over to the bartender and asked to speak to the Manger and he said "no...it would take to long". So this bouncer walks over and tells me to leave. I say no problem, just want to speak with the manager first. This guys pushes me all the way out of the club, twisting my arm and threatening me. I had half a drink, was completely a gentlemen and professional the whole time and got treated like this. I would advise everyone to stay away from this place...horrible treatment. Borderline assault if you ask me.

Great little watering hole

I love anything old and nostalgic. My parents and Uncle have come to this spot for years. It was a very convenient place to meet up when I would come home from L.A. to the Fullerton Train station. I short walk across the street from the depot, was a nice place to enjoy a drink after work. All of the bartenders are friendly, and good conversationalists. Great Martinis.

Love the live bands, great for dates but service is rude at times, there's a ligering smell in there...stinky!
Dj's think they own the place
- Pros: great bands, vibey, dark, feels like you step into time
- Cons: service not too great, waitresses rude at times, Dj's act as if they own the place, over crowded due to employees and Dj's letting too many personal friends

WORST BAR - only because of stupid skinny "ho-looking" waitress!

The bartenders were nice. The atmosphere is great! But I would never ever ever go back to this place. I went there to see a band that I really love and I was having an awesome time until some stupid skinny, ugly waitress was giving dirty looks to my friend and then ended up telling my friend that she had to leave because she "didn't like her". So I was being nice and bringing my empty beer bottle back up to the bar instead of leaving it on the table... I was on my way out to meet my kicked out friend (for no apparent reason) and this dumb waitress pushes me and was like "Excuse Me!" OMG! The only reason I can see why she still works there is because she must be sleeping with all the other employees.... Or something! It's gotta be that because I am pretty sure that she would be fired if not. She is losing business for the place! Can't stand the place now. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!
- Pros: Nice looking place!
- Cons: Lame waitress!
