Great atmosphere, food and service. I had lunch at Ambrosia and was lucky enough to be seated in one of their private rooms. It is obvious that the owner has spared no expense in making this restaurant a wonderful dining experience. The food, service and ambiance are excellent. Ambrosia is part of the Pavilion which is a live performance venue. I've seen a concert here and it was a first rate experience. Ambrosia is a great place for intimate dining and/or small company events. I can't say enough good things. I give Ambrosia my highest recommendation.
Amazing food, great wine selection, and excellent service. I dont know where to start. We just loved this place. We went in a large group and were seated in the wine room. The decor is beautiful,, the food is awesome (please dont miss the shrimp scampi made table side), and the service is perfect. You cannot miss this place..
AMBROSIA IS BACK! The BEST restaurant in OC!.
If you haven't been to Ambrosia....you don't know what you are missing! A true Gem! Michael Harrah has out done himself with the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been in! No joke!
And he has brought in well known local Chef Michael Rossi, from Napa Rose, to run the kitchen and offer a menu that reflects the "Seasonal Marketplace"!
You won't be disappointed!
And to top it off....flambe is back! Enjoy the Shrimp Scampi Flambeed Table-side in Cognac Garlic Butter or the old favorite....Bananas Foster!
This is a can't miss! I am getting hungry just thinking about my next visit!
Second Times A Charm. My wife and I have been to the restaurant a previous time and the ambiance was incredible but the food lacked something. This time around with the new executive chef Michael Rossi the food matched the incredible ambiance. I had the Escargot for my first course, which was just perfect with Chardonnay that our server recommended. While my wife had the foie gras which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Then for our entrees we had the Duck Cassoulet and the Grilled Swordfish which were both amazing. Then for dessert we had cafe diablo and bannana fosters prepared tableside by the Maitre'D. Then to top it all off we finished our dining experience with a flambe cognac. What a great place to spend the evening! I'm glad we gave it a second try. I highly recommend this culinary adventure.
Overrated and all togethor just plain boring.
All right who's cruel joke is this. Isn't ambrosia a cheap marshmallow and gelatin salad that had its fame in the seventies. This gaudy dump should go away just like tupperware.
The food is lacking creativity and above all else flavor. What kind of mindless joke of a chef have they got back in that kitchen. Its a shame places like this are allowed to continue serving food and ruin the perception of fine dining. Truly, I've had better food from a lean cuisine frozen dinner.
Oh well I guess every place you go to eat can't be incredible, but it should at least be edible. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this hole. Your taste buds will thank you.
Fine Dining in OC.
WOW! What a Restaurant! Nothing in OC is close to the beauty of this place. 20 million dollars of renovation was worth it.
The food and ambiance are incredible.
