Outstanding Thanksgiving Dinner To Go. I was looking for a Thanksgiving dinner in a box when I found the Lucca Café and Market on-line. The dinner waas a complete meal with a whole turkey, salad, yams, green beans, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry/orange chutney (very yummy!), dinner rolls, and a pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Heating instructions were included that were accurate and easy to follow, about 45 minutes from start to table. Give yourself an extra 15 minutes to get a head start on carving the turkey prior to heating. The Turkey was thoroughly cooked and moist (they brine the birds for 1-1/2 days before roasting). All of the sides were very fresh and tasty. Nothing was over cooked. The meal fed 8 adults at our table with plenty of left overs even after seconds. This has to be one of the best Thanksgiving dinners I have ever eaten. I would do this again in a heartbeat. I can't say enough about how good this meal was. What a gem of a place. I hope they remain in business for many, many years.

Love for Lucca!. Fell in love with Lucca from the first time I dined there— the best pork tenderloin I've ever had, no question. When I have friends come in town, I make sure to take them. Have gone enough that Chef Cathy knows me and will come out to the table to say hello and chat a bit. She and her husband are awesome. Love this place!

Well Kept Secret. I have been told about this restaurant for some time and finally decided to go there. I can't stop. The food is served such that everyone can taste, therefore if you go there 4 times with 4 people you have tried everything. I like the jondori and the pork. The onion soup which sounds discusting is great. The wines are a great selection and priced very fair. The waiters are fantastic. The cheese, the deserts, are just the icing on the meals. Go there on Friday and Saturday when they have the vegetable antipasta bar.

Enjoy

Declining quality and service. Used to go regularly but no more. Food quality and freshness was exemplary in the beginning but declined noticeably in last two or three visits when dishes were lukewarm, and pasta was doughy on my last visit.

Also, Lucca mgmt has left discontinued items on the menu without changing it for months. It's a bit annoying to decide on an item and have your appetite whetted for it only to be told that it's no longer served there, thus having to go back to the menu to look for something else.

Finally, service is spotty. Waitstaff have generally been friendly and responsive, but had what should have been a minor issue rergarding seating where I briefly talked to the manager who handled it in an inept and insulting manner. That and drop in quality last few visits left me wanting not to return. There are too many other restaurants worth frequenting.

Delicious Surprise!. This is the first time I've ever written a review. It is not something I would normally do, but it only had one review and it truly deserves many more kudos than that, so I thought I'd give it ours. We tried this restaurant for dinner not really knowing what to expect from a place that has its own Deli market in it, serves breakfast (and brunch), lunch and dinner and describes itself as a deli/wine bar by day and fine dining by night. To say the least we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantasitic (although not inexpensive), they have a good wine list and the service was terrific (our waitress was very friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu and helped us with some delicious cheese selections to start off the evening). We loved the fact that the portions are smaller, so you can order several different types of dishes and share and still have room for some delicious dessert. They have both indoor and heated outdoor seating (we sat outside as that is our favorite way to dine). We went on a Saturday night and did not have to wait. We will definitely be going back not only for dinner, but to try it for breakfast/brunch and lunch as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant. To find it, it might be a little difficult if you've never been before. It is located in the Quail Hill shopping plaza and is not part of the main section of the plaza. It is back in the corner of the parking lot near the Sand Canyon/Shady Canyon/Quail Hill Parkway rotary/roundabout next to Wells Fargo.
