When you walk into a restaraunt at lunch time, or at dinnertime on a weekend, and it's empty, there's usually a reason. I should have heeded that warning. This place smells horrible, food is bland, staff is MIA. How on earth do they stay in business? I'm stimey'd!!

Fantastic Mexican restaurant - can't go wrong!. Miguel's was an Inland Empire fast food chain and resaturant originally. They finally came to OC though and the restaurant has been very successful. Food is top notch. The beans and rice are really the best I've had. I always get the shredded beef tacos, rice, and beans. Service is about as good as you can get at a restaurant. Drinks are never empty, refills on the chips are quickly taken care of, and the wait staff is friendly. Food is delivered quickly too.

I wish there were more Miguel's around!

GREAT (and I do mean GREAT) customer service...and the food is good too!!. We go to Miguel's at least once a month - and have never had a bad experience. You can usually count on a little bit of a wait for a table, but it usually isn't too long. There is always plenty of staff (multiple hosts/hostesses, enough servers to cover the restaurant, and it is not unusual to see managers delivering drinks or food orders if your server is busy at the time). I have stopped the manager(s) (yes, there is usually more than one manager around if they're busy) and told them that it is truly a PLEASURE to witness such great customer service.

The food is ALWAYS good, and comes to the table quickly, and just as ordered. My one and only complaint is that the charge you something in the neighborhood of $1.50 for a side of shredded cheese...since I don't eat sour cream OR guacamole, you would think they could shoot me some cheese in its place!!

They have HUGE margaritas, and make a big deal out of people's birthdays - and when we went there the first time, and told them it was our first time, we got a complimentary dessert. They really do believe in making customers feel special!!
