Tips for Waterworks Aquatics Swim Schl

September 11, 2012

I would like to take a moment to thank waterworks for the work they have done with my daughter in the past few months. A special thanks to her instructor Miss Devin, Miss Allejandra and Miss Carmela. I would recommend Waterworks to any parent who wants their first foray into swimming for their child to be a success. My daughter started her swim class only 4 months ago, and she has quickly advanced to a level where she can swim by herself, thanks to waterworks. She loves Waterworks, she wakes up every morning and asks me if she has a swim class that day, which to me is the ultimate reward for any facility! I could write an essay about how wonderful the instructors are, how clean and luxurious their facilities are, not to mention the heated pools, but I suggest you check it out yourself and come away impressed. It is definitely value for money:)

Nice Clean facility. Great facility and staff! We hav been going here since our children were babies and have not thought about going to a different place. Staff is young, professional, and want the best for the kids. Our kids used to be afraid of water, till Carmella and Jessica showed them how to love swimming.

Great Swim School. I physically visited this swim school before enrolling my 5 yr old. I liked the fact that the school provides indoor/outdoor pools, this keeps classes from interruption due to weather. My daughter has been attending twice a week for over a year, she is at level 7 of 8 and I am very impressed with her accomplishment. She looks forward to swimming with her coach, Ms. Tiffany. The training routine is very structured and consistent, on occasion my daughter has had the opportunity to be trained by some of the other coaches and the training is seamless. Both swimming instructors and front desk employees are very nice, friendly and helpful. I can’t compare this swim school to others as I never started anywhere else. However, from talking to other parents, more than once they share with me that this school is much better than the ones they came from.

I highly recommend this swim school.

Jacquline is the Best. My son has been attending Waterworks for about 8 months.( Started at 4 months old) Our beginning parent and me lessons started out a little rocky due to an incompetent instructor but once we switched over to Jacquline a few months into it, everything has been fantastic. She is attentive, excited to see each and every baby, the best part is that it seems like she truly enjoys her job. My son loves her! He literally jumps out of my arms just so he can swim with her. I can not say enough wonderful things about her! She really is the best!

As for everything else, the parent and me lessons are a bit expensive for a 20 minute class with 5 other kids but it's pretty much the same price every where else. The only negative thing I can say about the place is that the pool could be much cleaner! But it is always warm:)

OVER CHARGE, MORE LIKE A SWIM MILL.. 20min back to back lessons, Don't be a minute late. Plus charge you a crazy amount for a lesson. That's why they don't list the prices online. Owner is money hungry, cares less about your child. Look at other private swim schools. We will not be attending hear any longer.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE .. THE OWNER ONLY CARES ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY HE CAN MAKE IN A LIMITED TIME. NOT AT ALL ABOUT THE ACTUAL FAMILIES. When I went in to use a voucher I bought online, my toddler was very disappointed when we found out that the owner changed his mind about the deal & was only taking it from new families. They actually turned my daughter away. The owner only cares about how may people he can overcharge (& I mean 4x the amount of a regular private lesson any where else) No prices listed online. Go sign up your child with a different private swim lesson facility. Even the YMCA or Red Cross are much better than this one. Don't waste your time here.

Best swim school!. Waterworks Aquatics has been nothing but a positive experience for my family. We love their program! Our daughter has been coming here for about three years. She is almost 4 and she is very efficient in the water. She started with parent and me classes which were a lot of fun. Now she can swim the length of the pool, dive and do the backstroke. Now, our 18 month old son does parent and me classes and enjoys every minute. They teach him to float on his back and to be comfortable in the water.

The instructors are great.

RE: Outstanding Swim School. My daughter started semi private lessons three months ago and is absolutely hooked. When she started she could not swim. Now she is swimming laps and having so much fun. She loves all of the instructors and the staff.

We've had the privilege of working with a variety of the staff and have been impressed with all of them. They each have a unique way of teaching children but all teach the same Waterworks fundamentals.

If you want your child to learn how to swim either recreationally or competitively waterworks will give a great foundation to build on. We highly recommend it!

Good Customer Service. After reading about the bad experience we had with a particular instructor, the owner of Waterworks contacted me. He offered us a make up session. He seemed really genuine about wanting 100% Customer Satisfaction. I appreciate that he cares about the clients and that he desires to make his swim school one of the best in Orange County.

waterworks is great. We've been a Waterworks customer for over 3 years since my son was 10 months old. He's now almost 4 and my daughter just turned 2. She's been in the program since she was 1 year old.

We're very happy with Waterworks and the program they have. We looked at the YMCA as well as crash courses for teaching your children to swim. We ruled out the crash course idea because it just seemed like it would be good for a month or two while they perhaps remembered their skills to get to the edge of the pool - but then would forget. Our goal was for our kids to be able to not only swim, but to swim well and be good swimmers when swimming at camp summer adventures or other random places we went to.

We chose WW over the YMCA because the pool(s) are heated and the facilities are very modern and clean. The YMCA was okay, but the pool was only outside and freezing in the winter. The pools are built specifically for training and kids. They have a "shallow" end that is for the kids to warmup / play in while getting ready or after their class. The pools are super warm - 90+ degrees and one is salt water which is very nice.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The instructors (we've had 4 different ones - 2 of them left WW or were promoted "out of the pool") have all been great. They match instructors to the children so your kids can build a relationship with the instructors. They listen to the parents about how each parent wants their children to progress (push them hard or take it easy). Overall, our kids really like the environment and enjoy going to swim class.

We go once a week and that seems to be a good amount for us. Afterwards, we use their full bathroom/shower rooms to get ready. I fully shower if I've gone into the pool with the kids also.

My children have progressed great. The thing that I like about WW is that they stress the actual strokes and form over everything else. They're very repetitious with the strokes and reward the children for doing them correctly. They do it in such a way that there's a lot of variety and the children don't seem to get ever get bored. My son who isn't quite 4 is now able to jump in the pool (over his head), get above water, swim with a proper free style or backstroke to the other side of the pool and get back out. We're very happy with that.

My only complaint about WW is that the makeup classes are a pain to use. You can't use them during the same time slot that your normal class is in. This is a pain because for us, because that's about the only time in our schedule that that class works. Thus, the classes end up sometimes going to waste (even though we paid for them).

I really like Waterworks. The teachers are great with our kids and I foresee us using their facilities for years to come.
