Best Bakery!. I got my husband's birthday cake here and it was fabulous! Not only did it look incredible, it tasted incredible. I will use them for every occassion!

incredible cake!!!. we had heard everyone raving about the incredible cake that blackmarket made for a school play cast-party. it was the talk of the event. that alone made us want to order a cake for our daughter's 13th birthday. blackmarket did not disappoint. from the first taste of the sample, i knew it would be great. the staff was very informative in selecting the perfect choice for the cake. chocolate (i don't even like chocolate) was the choice. topped with a custom design which they matched to a photoshop file i emailed to them, the cake was fabulous. everyone loved it, but the question they all had was..."how many more pieces can i have to take with me?" it's safe to say that a grocery store cake will never, ever suffice in our home again. the kids loved it, parents loved it, grandparents loved it and i loved it (did i mention i don't even like chocolate?)"

Exceptional Cake and Pasteries. Black Market Bakery makes some of the best cake I've ever had. They use high quality ingredients, not any of that cheap stuff that you get at the large wholesale warehouse stores.

The cakes can be decorated with great originality and artistry. Cakes can be customized only to the limits of your imagination.

How many times have you been to a party where the cake tasted like cardboard and the frosting was granular in texture and tasted like a glob of lard and was so sweet it hurt your teeth? You won't get that feeling from the cake at Black Market.

Great wedding cakes!. After investigating several bakeries in Orange County, we asked Blackmarket Bakery to bake and decorate our wedding cake. We could not have been more pleased! We ordered four cake flavors (Mister Special, Carrot & the Stick, Moulin Rouge, and Banana Split). All the cakes were moist, delicious, and beautiful. The staff was helpful fromstart to finish, including the cake tasting, choosing a design, and making sure we had everything we needed for our special day. I recommend this bakery with much enthusiasm and no reservations. Excellent cake and superior customer service! - An

A Sensory Sensation!. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have never seen such an amazing cake before. When I emailed Rachelmarie and Jeniffer regarding an unsual birthday cake request for my daughter's 18th birthday (She has a thing about roasted turkeys...), I never thought the resulting cake would be this fabulous. The description of a table set for "Thanksgiving dinner" with an obnoxiously large turkey in the middle of the cake was beyound belief. My daughter was speechless (a first for her). Now, mind you this is before we ever tasted the cake. The red velvet was perfect...moist with a good balance of chocolate, just a hint. I can't think of anything that could compare with the cake you made for us. Thank you again!!

Best Bakery; excellent service. We love the flavor of the passion fruit BD cake. Just like the lemon cake; their flavors are so intense which make their cake unique. The fondant decorations are elegant even as simple as just circles.

The fruity bread pudding I think is the best bread pudding that I ever had; dense and full of flavor.

If you like spicy scones, try their jalapeno/cheese one...out of the world

The chocolate pound cake was not one of my favorite;on the dry side which reminds me of cake brownie.

Looking forward to try other products.

Best Bakery in Orange County - Best Cookies, Breads, Cakes and Homemade Marshmallows. I have been a devotee of the Black Market Bakery ever since we discovered it last year at the Irvine Global Festival. We think this is the very best bakery around! The breads, mocha shortbreads, and almond cookies are to die for - and most of all, we are addicted to the homemade marshmallows!!! We are weekly regulars and plan to remain faithful!

Delicious, innovative, and elegant!. In our opinion. the only bakery in Orange County. We use and refer Black Market to all of our clients and we use them for all of our events! We have never been disappointed and we absolutely love the creations, whether an unsual cake request or simple and elegant tea cookies, we are always pleased and proud to showcase Black Market bakery!

The Best Bakery You Will Ever Find!. I have been going to the Blackmarket for almost three years now, and not once have I been disappointed! Chef Rachel Marie and her fabulous staff make the most wonderful cakes, croissants, cookies, and candies that I have ever tasted. I love to travel, and in every place I visit I try to go to a few bakeries. I have yet to find a bakery that makes anything as fresh and delicious as the Blackmarket Bakery. My personal favorites are the three cheese and red pepper sourdough bread, chocolate croissants, florentine bars (almonds, cranberries, and candied ginger on a buttery rich crust- killer!), and the basque tart. The cakes have fun and unique flavors unlike anything else. I have become a total cake snob ever since I started going to BB, and I always insist on a birthday cake from them. The cooking classes are a lot of fun ( I've taken pretty much every single one) and I have learned to make so many things that I never would have tried on my own. I've become a much better home baker since taking classes there. Forget every other place and go to the Blackmarket!

Incredible Edibles!. Chef Rachel never disappoints. Words fail me in describing her absolutely luscious treats; one needs only to taste a sample and risk being hooked forever. Our favorite (and most requested) special occasion cake is the Metropolis, dark chocolate, mocha mousse, coffee genoise and semi-sweet chocolate fondant. Very European-like, smooth as silk and not overly sweet. Among her seasonal specials we loved the Whoopie Pie, which is a rich, moist pumpkin sort of soft cookie with a heavenly cream cheese filling. But my absolute favorite is the luscious lemon Basque Tart with raspberries, so outstandingly rich but light - pure heaven. She also does amazing free-form birthday cakes. We saw one for another customer that was a stegasaurus, complete with the landscape of rocks, flora and fauna, all of which was edible. She's quite the artist, as well as one hulluva' baker!
