The Gaffey Street Diner is not much to look at from the outside--a plain-looking building with a small parking lot that's hard to navigate. On the inside, however, people are friendly and it has a charming diner decor complete with historical photographs and old-fashioned countertops. But perhaps the most relevant: The food here is outrageously good. The blueberry pancakes are loaded with blueberries, making the batter purple. Their scrambled eggs and omelettes are moist, delicious, and stuffed with ingredients. The potatoes are wonderfully flavored, diced with onions and peppers and seasoned to perfection. The country gravy, sausage, and bacon are amazing. The orange juice is freshly-squeezed and the portions are enormous (generous to the point of being diet-dangerous.) Need I go on? A friendly, efficient wait staff and prices that beat most of your chain restaurants completes the experience. Two caveats, however: The food is old-fashioned diner fare, so its hard (though not impossible) to eat healthy here. Also, it's important to note, their hollandaise is good, but is more cheesy than the traditional creamy-lemony stuff that "hollandaise" usually denotes. If you're a fan of the traditional hollandaise, you might want to taste theirs before going for any of the "benedict" dishes--or, even better, try their delectable spanish sauce or mouth-watering country gravy. Bottom line: Not enough stars for this place!!

Pros: Best breakfast food around. Period.

Cons: Not the place to go if you're on a weight-loss plan.

WOW! My 1st time I ever ate here at Gaffys Street diner. Food was great and very big portions as well. Parking is very limited so get there early! It was worth the 20 minute wait! I have never had A Breakfast like this one before . I went there with my friend who took me there. This restruant was so clean u could eat off the floor. Don't let the outside of the building fool u. Looks can be deceiving. I say it's the best place to eat in San Pedro. It's A lot better then I had thought that's for sure.
