Best Therapist in OC - The Work She Does Is Amazing. I went to see Kathy at one of the worst times of my life. I am 1000 percent better, almost completely back to myself now. I have learned how to manage my workload and stress and have been free from anxiety for about 5 months. The work she does is amazing and I hope people find their way to Kathy to get the help they need. It was the most difficult time of my life and I thank God daily for my recovery.

Warm, caring therapist. I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Nickerson; I truly feel blessed to have had counseling with her. She has a very warm and caring personality and from our initial session made me feel comfortable sharing my concerns with her. Her approach, while direct, is that of a very sympathtic person. She was quickly able to help me identify areas that were adversely affecting me and gave me tools to jump-start the healing process. I directly attribute her kind manner and caring attitude to helping me achieve my goals.

Honest, practical, and caring therapist who gives you real answers and good advice. From the first conversation I had with Kathy, I knew she was different. She was not like the other therapists I interviewed, she was real. She took time to answer my questions and didn't say things that seemed fluffy or weird. She was honest, straight forward, and realistic.

My wife and I went to her when I thought there was no way anyone could help us. I was just going through the motions and wanted to give it one last try. During our first meeting, Kathy gave both of us hope that things could be better. In fact, she said they would be better. She was right and things got better much faster than I would have thought. In just a few weeks, our relationship was better than it had been in years. I know it's because of what Kathy did and asked us to do.

She has the best qualities of a friend and a counselor - she's smart, funny, real, honest, and she cares. There's no doubt that she loves what she does and she loves the people she works with. Her dedication is amazing and I am better for knowing her. Kathy is so good at what she does, she's really the best and we love her.

Provides a peacful and calming environment. If you are looking for someone to understand you, provide empathy and support, but also needing someone to be honest and able to offer solutions to your situation, Dr. Nickerson is this person. She is warm and engaging and able to be candid about sensitive issues. I have known her for the past 5 years and she is professional and ethical and being a counselor myself would not hesitate to refer clients, friends or family members to her. She is wonderful!

The best listener I have ever met!. Dr. Nickerson's cozy office and calm demeanor always make me right at home. She is thoughtful, compassionate, and caring, and really listens when I talk. She's taught me to find, challenge, and change faulty logic that causes fear and conflict in my life and my life has improved greatly from her insights! I highly recommend her if you need someone to listen and guide you through life's problems.

She tells you what you need to hear!. I've been working with Kathleen for what seems to be my whole life. She has helped me through some very difficult times and has helped me find my inner calm. When you need advise you can count on, not just some great theory out of a book, give her a call.

Smart, funny, practical, and gets results!. I have known Kathleen for over fifteen years, and know her to be honest, intelligent and very responsible. In my twenty years as a practicing clinical psychologist I have rarely known an individual I can so enthusiastically endorse as a colleague. Because of her background in business and education, she brings so much diverse knowledge to her work as a therapist. Kathy focuses on getting results quickly and from what I have seen, she does amazing work. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Wonderful therapist; very caring and dedicated.. Works well with families and couples. Also has lots of experience with individuals who tend to be "perfectionists". Very helpful with anxiety and depression.
