Stay away from Proof Bar!. This place is a disaster waiting to happen. Started out great, but we've seen it going down quickly. Our last visit involved a crowd that looked like they just came out of a penitentiary, the place smelled like a pot farm, and a bartender who was not only rude, but dared us to contact the owner and complain. They have gone from quality to quantity, and I guess all that counts now is the number of drinks they sell (and amount of drugs that are sold) With all the drugs, boose and morons in that place it's just a matter of time before someone gets hurt, or killed. Ladies (especially) stay away.

Check Out Thursday Nights. Went here on a Thursday night after picking up a semi-ambiguous flyer and boy was I suprised! I've been to the Proof Bar before and really liked the layout and design. Bartenders are very friendly and mix some STIFF ones....but the music is what blew me away. Thursday nights is house/funk/disco/something or other night and the dj's were throwing down some hot jams. Now, this is not your typical Top 40 scene...music for people who can get out of the radio box and dance to some real gems. THe DJ's KNOW what they are doing and obviously have a deep knowledge for new and old tracks that is not typical of the million other dj's out in the OC. All vinyl (love that) and no b.s. ...none of the wannabe/I just got my laptop dj program and am playing the top list from some so and so hipster website...Give it a chance and you won't be disappointed. I feel like a spokesperson now! I was very impressed by the cool and kick back people, good drinks and top notch music. Definately sophisticated stuff and not kiddie emo kid-turned gangster crunk garbage. I imagine beautiful people in Paris and Tokyo listening to this stuff at private penthouse parties...go!

Great lil place in Santa Ana. The first and 3rd Thursday of every month, this place is pretty busy and the crowd is pretty diverse. I like the atmosphere and the decor..Drinks are pretty stiff and inexpensive! Totally recommend it..Free parking in structure off 3rd street and broadway.

mediocre. This bar has been advertising like crazy, so I thought I'd check it out. It is not worth a drive unless you live very close. The service was not great either.

A Pleasant Surprise. I just recently visited this place on a Saturday night and I was pleasantly surprised at the classy decor and laidback vibe of the bar. The crowd was diverse and eclectic, but generally fun. It looks like a great place to celebrate with a group of friends. The drinks are reasonably priced and well-made. Overall, this place has a lot of potential--go see it for yourself.

The best undiscovered Bar in So Cal. This new bar has a one of a kind setting. Proof is in downtown Santa Ana. Sound gross but it not the city is cleaning up well and a lot of cool stuff is happaning in this area.. It is undiscovered, which makes it great. Proof is in a building built in the early 1900. With great modern design fused with the classiness of the building and the stiff drinks with a great place to meet people who would not have a good time and want to come back and bring some friends to proof!!!!
