Really Pleasant Surprise.
Met some friends here after work on Friday as they work in one of the buildings in the complex. I was a little skeptical as hotel bars are not really my thing. It was a bit hard to find at the back of the hotel, but what a nice surprise this turned out to be. I was greeted right away by a very friendly employee and brought to a table outside where she knew my friends were waiting for me.
Atmosphere is sophisticated and contemporary. Outside there is a really cool fire pit. Service is excellent. Cocktails made with fresh juices. Good appetizer selections. All in all, I would recommend this place highly.

Fresh, wood-fired plates served in a sophisticated dining room and lounge, inside the Hyatt Regency Irvine..
The Scene
Although located within the hotel, this French-fused-with-California-cuisine fine dining establishment draws its own sophisticated crowd. In addition to hotel guests, local professionals stop by to dine or to visit the circular bar situated in the center of the restaurant. Floor-to-ceiling windows shed natural light on the classy, mahogany interior, which--in addition to the lush garden patio--complements the earthy menu.
The Food
Appetizers include a warm goat cheese crostini with black olive tapenade and jumbo lump crab cakes. For entrees, choose from halibut, quail, petite filets, veal and chicken--all infused with the grill's apple- and cherry-wood smoked flavor and paired with zesty sides such as gorgonzola walnut ravioli, Yukon garlic mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The green vegetable risotto and seafood fettuccini provide tasty non-grilled alternatives.
