Night to remember.... I am from the southern california parts born an rasied. I have never found such a great place to have dinner and stay after for dancing. The decor is amazing and food is even better. I would definatly recommand this place for a romatic dinner and a great place for a girls/guys night out!!!

Amazing experience and ambiance overall. I'm not sure what these other reviewers were looking for, but I had an exceptional time at Sutra. Beautiful Asian/Middle-eastern themed decor, great atmosphere, music and much eye-candy on both sides to go around (even the waitstaff). I would say this club defin. is geared to the upper 20s'-30's in the somewhat upper-OC class so dress well to impress. I recommend making a table reservation ahead of time if you want to guarantee yourself a spot. My friends and I went on a Fri. night and they had a roaring burlesque show with women hanging from the rafters which was pretty entertaining. The food was above-average, but I wouldn't say it was beyond outstanding. Drinks were great. Unfortunately the entrees and drinks are all rather pricey, that was the only main downfall -- otherwise, I think everything else at Sutra makes up for it.

ALL SHOW...NO GO!!. There are 3 different guest-list lines to get in...1st is the Bottle service line (reserve a table and pay a minimum of $500), 2nd is the VIP line (special list created for friends and regular's of Sutra), and 3rd is the regular guest-list line (for call-ins and birthday parties)... Unfortunately, we were there for a birthday and in the 3rd line...we waited for 2 hours (got there at 9:20 on a Thursday night) and never got in because the other lines were obviously more important than the 3rd guest-list. YOURE TIME IS WORTH MORE THAN WASTING TIME IN LINE...don't try this place, you will regret it.

Don't go!!. I should have listened to previous reviews.....Got there at 10:30 on Fri, line only moved when people left, finally at 11:30 they let 7 people in. We were at the front of the line (5 girls) at that point and by 12 they still hadn't let us in. We could see the club and it wasn't full, they were just letting people with tables in. Having the line there was pointless. They didn't need our business with all of the table reservations they had, and they made it known. Crowd seemed either early, early 20s or 40+. Uptight bouncers; waitresses dressed offensively. Gave up and went to Yard House next door - fast service, good drinks, much better!! Won't try Sutra again!

I love this place!. I went here with a few of my friends for dinner and afterhours and we had a great time. The food was delicious and the dancing was even better.

Don't waste your time here. My friends got there at 9:15pm, waiting in line for an hour, and the only time we moved in line was when the people in front of us left. The bouncers were only letting in the people who paid for a table or the people who knew the promoters or bouncers. The bouncers are rude. Such a waste of time. It's not even worth it.

Disappointing food & seating. Great lighting and atmosphere, but when we sat outdoors (cool seating) there was a terrible stench coming from the cushions. It smelled like sour sweat and definitely needed cleaning. The food unfortunately was sub par as well. The proscuitto salad smelled like aquarium water, and the risotto was overwhelmed by a pungent onion taste/smell. The one decent dish was the signature steak appetizer with blueberry sauce. Definitely a "drinks only" place.

Excellent Food in a Sexy Atmosphere. The scene is very sexy, with waitresses that look like they belong at a high class version of hooters. Rich colors and fabrics fill the dining room and really please the senses.

The food is fantastic! We had the blueberry steak appetizer, goat cheese salad, Tuna Mignon, and Sea Bass. The meal was exceptionally flavored and very fresh. The Tuna however was on the mild side, and I had to doctor it up with wasabi & ponzu. We finished up dinner with the chocolate goddess cake - one of the best desserts I've ever had, and I'm not even a chocolate fan.

Some of the staff had an "I'm too sexy for you" attitude, although our server was exceptionally friendly.

Wine was priced 2.5 to 3 times market value (on the high side considering the location), and mixed drinks were $8-$10.

Table service for the club is ridiculously overpriced.

A Big Miss(Mess) in OC.... I went with my friends for the first time on friday night. First things first, the decor was very tacky, cheap, ill-conceived, and offensive, with religious symbols in the restrooms..."really cutting edge"...not. We were seated outside in the patio area, that at 10pm becomes seating only for those purchasing bottles. As it drew closer to 9:30pm, the busy boy kept resettting our table, while were eating, twice! I got the "goddess" cake and it tasted horrible! told the waitress who could care less. Overall, crappy place to spend your money. The wait and host staff are clearly untrained in treating their clients as true guests of the establishment.

Hot women, good times. The women are hot, the beats are phat, and the dance floor is bangin'. This is the place if your single and looking to mingling.

I am a perfect 100% for leaving with the ladies. I invite all ladies to come visit Sutra and come say HI!!!!!
