Tired of the upselling.
I popped in here for a quick relaxing pedicure. I found the place clean and the employees friendly. I settled into my chair with an old copy of People Magazine, looking forward to some quiet relaxation.
Unfortunately the employee kept interupting my reading by asking if I wanted extra massage (read = more $$), parafin wax dip (more $$) or a nail design (more $$). I did not care for any of these services. I was upfront about what I did want when I walked in--the basic pedicure--so quit asking me to spend more money!
I know these businesses have to stay alive, and upselling helps their bottom line. But I don't like the tactics they used for me. Ask me once--if I'm not interested, then please let me read in peace.
Happy Nails is a great place to get a manicure, pedicure, waxing, massage or facial. My recommendation is that you try a few nail technicians and then request them every time you visit. Naturally some of the staff is more experienced than others so your results depend on who does your service. My only complaint is that I constantly get approached to purchase additional services like eye brow waxing when I'm trying to relax and read. Other than that I'm very happy with Happy Nails.
