Great food, great service, great prices!. A few of my work friends took me to this place several weeks ago. Let me tell you, this is one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. The chicken pad thai was excellent! I am looking forward to having lunch there again today!

DISAPPOINTED.... Read some good reviews and decided to try. Waiter could barely speak English and screwed up our order. My vegetarian entrees (which were both labelled "spicy") were practically tasteless. The vegetarian spring rolls also tasted like nothing. I will say the ladies were friendly and the mango with sticky rice was pretty good. I would not go back.

Great pepper steak & favorite pineapple and far east rice.. Jocelyn and Lydia are the best...hard workers and very friendly...eat at this restaurant 2 to 3 times a week...they ALWAYS appreciate your business and treat you like family. The CHEF is great also...always has a smile on his face and serves up HUGE portions of my favorite Far East Rice...husband LOVES pepper steak...always have food to take home because of generous portions. Love, love, love Urban Thai...give it a try you won't be disappointed!!!

Service - not food - leaves something to be desired. I love Thai food, and I like the dishes I have eaten at Urban Thai (particularly the Chicken Rad Nah and the Red Curry with Mixed Vegetables). I don't have complaints about anything I have eaten at Urban Thai. Also, the decor is pretty.

However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I get dirty looks from various members of the staff (who look like they may be the owners) who seem like they resent having customers. Good food is not worth the discomfort of feeling unwelcome, and after 8 or so visits, I have decided I will not return because of the service.

Nice decor. Just went there tonight. I must agree with one of the previous reviews, this place is not authentic Thai food. I went with my friend, who is Thai. My friend got the Green Curry Chicken, which was supposedly mild in spiceyness. Not only was it NOT spicey, but it was very watery and bland. I got the Volcano fried rice, which was also supposed to be spicey. It was not spicey, it was plain bland. It tasted like fried rice that you get at Panda Express. I'll give them the nice decor though. Best decor I've seen from all the Thai places I've been to.

Amazing food, amazing service, all around favorite!!!. I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about. My husband and I go at least once a week, and have for the past 2 years. The food is amazingly flavorfull - the lemongrass beef is spicy and tasty and the meat is very good quality. The fire chicken or beef have a great tangy spicy sauce and the vegetables are perfect. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have never been dissapointed - literally not once. The pepper beef is to die for. The spring rolls are the best I've had. The golden pockets - wonderful! the soups - all very different and completely delicious. PLUS, the service is amazing - they treat you like family. This is not only my favorite thai restaurant, but one of my favorite restaurants ever. Thanks guys!!!!

Mediocre Thai food.. Second try at Urban Thai. The food had very little flavor. The bbq Thai chicken must have been yesterday's meat because it was chewy and completely flavorless. We tried six different dishes in the two visits and we can recommend none of them. No seasonings at the table to help the food along. Nice decore but the food was really lack-luster. We won't go back. Two times is enough to make us positive about this.

Great decor, not so authentic. This restaurant is in an awesome location, near many other restaurants, the movies, and dessert places. The decor is good when you walk in, and the food is good, but not authentic. As long as you go in knowing it's not that authentic, you can appreciate the food because it is definitely good. They have a seafood soup that is mind blowing, although it was freaky when I pulled out a squid head! It was still good though and they have a chicken coconut milk soup that is to die for! Must get: Sticky Rice with mango's.

The service was terrible!!!. Let me just say that the overall service was very disappointing. We (my girlfriend and I) have received one of the worst services here. There was no assigned server, so the orders were all messed up and they were not friendly at all!!! It seemed like they were rushing us to get out of the restaurant and so we were may be there for total of 30 minutes. Do not get the Pineapple Fried Rice here because it was overpriced and too salty!!

Excellent Thai food. This place has some of the best Thai food I have had since moving to Orange County. The service is friendly, and the ambience is quiet nice. The drunken shrimp is highly reccomended. The only problem is that the tables are a little close together.
