The low-ball reviews are a competitor.. Well first of all, I have been coming here for 3 years and have never had a bad haircut. I have also never heard anybody talking about planting fake reviews, and it seems awfully suspicious that people who claim to have been there one time know multiple girls' names and claim to have heard them talking openly about planting fake reviews.

As a P.S., I haven't dealt with the owner, Howard, very much, he was helpful and friendly those couple of times.

Great Salon. Just moved here from NY was referred to Howard.

Can't say enough about my haircut

I LOVE IT!

The salon seems to have a real buzz.

What also noticed was how all the stylists seemed so happy

Stay Away from this Cheap salon!. This salon claims to be a high end salon and the girls and owner walk around llike they are salon gifts! My stylist did a horrible job on my hair cut, color and style. She claimed to be owners assistant and it showed! Owner did not care that I was not happy; he was too busy flirting with clients and other employees. I would stay away and try any place else. They need to rememebr all they do is hair!

Stylist Writes Own Reviews!!. Jen writes her own reviews because she has no clients- so beware of this salon!! I heard the stylist bragging about going online and writing her own reviews to get business. The owner is very rude and trying to sell young stylist in this "upscale salon". I would never return here and go someplace else- like Parks Salon up the street. Too many great salons to choose from to settle for this salon just because it might be close to your home. People who drive far to this salon must be crazy!! My hair was done cheaply for a high price! Plus the stylist was very late and made me wait while he talked and talked and talked. BEWARE!!!

Great service, Great hair.. I have been going to Howard Jones Salon for about 3 years now, and I have never had anything less than amazing service. If my regular stylist is out of town or unavailable, there is always someone available to do my hair and make me just as happy. All the stylists are truly talented and the salon is very friendly, and family oriented salon. I highly recommend this salon.

OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE!. I went on this website to check the reviews, and although there were some negatives, I wanted to simply try Howard Jones Salon myself. I am an EXTREMELY picky client; whether it be about the atmosphere, the service, and the overall outcome of my hair. I watched all the stylists as I was getting my hair done, and all of their clients looked great as they left and seemed to be very happy.

When my cut and color was finished, I was completely satisfied and very happy with the turnout. The salon is a relaxing and creative setting that would make anyone feel comfortable. Everyone there is definitely skilled and very friendly.

Avoid At All Times. I made my appointment because almost everyone who has reviewed this place just loved it, i.e Jen and Danielle. I was on time but my stylist was very late for my morning appointment. She then blamed the receptionist for not booking her correctly. It took her forever to mix my color, or I guess thats what she was doing in the back room. My color turned out ok, not exactly what I was thinking. My cut was ok, not worth the wait or the high price of services. I would not drive hours to come to this market shopping center salon. I would not fly over seas to come to this salon. I would not say these stylist were hair gurus, I think my stylist did an ok job for a beginner. I would just avoid this salon.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. I recently moved and i still make the 45 minute drive to go and see Danielle. Ever since I have been seeing her for my hair I have never gotten more complements.

She does my colour so amazing. And the best part is I get my highlights done half as often as my friends but you would never know because she does that great of a job.

All the people that work there are really nice and I really do love Danielle is a sweet heart with some amazong talent. Plus I go in between cuts and she trims my bangs up on the house!

I have recomended many of my friends and i recomend all of you to give the salon a shot I have never left more then thrilled.

Jen is a hair guru!!!!. So, I don't know about all of you out there, but I've longed for a hairstylist who i can trust with my hair, and be able to just say "work your magic" to. It's taken me a long time, but I found her!

Jen, at Howard Jones Salon was able to educate me on my hair and create a "look" that was best suited for me, taking my style, my face shape, and hair texture all into perspective! She is a Beverly Hills trained artist with hair, and really knows her stuff!!

The prices are reasonable, and worth every penny, and the salon is beautiful, and has great service!

I strongly recommend you go to Jen at Howard Jones Salon and say: "Work your magic!!"

Try somewhere else. I've lived in Dana Point for a long time and thought I would try this salon because I had heard good things. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience because first of all the owner who was going to be my stylist was 30 minutes late for my appointment. I felt bad in telling him that he had cut my hair wayyyy shorter than I had requested. Also, they dont take credit cards or debit cards which would have been nice to know before I sat down. Lastly, I overheard another stylist talking about how she was going to post fake reviews about herself and the salon, (kinda tacky!). I would suggest going somewhere else...
