The Scene – This sleek watering hole for the trendy and artistic is deceptively tucked away in a strip mall. Candlelit tables and black lounge chairs occupy most of the medium-sized room. Themed art installations like primitive Atari games and accessories inhabit glass cabinets along the back wall. Although there's no stage, jazz bands regularly perform in a corner of this chic space. Popular L.A. DJs frequent the turntable booth, and videos from local photographers and independent filmmakers are projected onto a screen in the middle of the bar. Music is kept relatively quiet,…
The Owner Of This Bar Does Not Deserve Warm Friendly People

Went here because my friend said it was a great place to relax and listen to good music while drinking. she was right it had a wonderful ambuance, great bartendars, great door man but... And this but is big THE OWNER. The owner sits on the far sid of the bar, he is bald and looks pretty grumpy. My friend was wearing a hooded jacket and he seemed to be staring at him in the worst way. Anyways he spewed his drink out accidentally on the card in the middle of the table (went down the wrong pipe poor guy) this owner was watching and seemed to give the dirtiest look, then later as my friend is an artist tried to fix the water mark on the card, which he shouldn't have. The owner noticed and grabbed the card he started to go off, and my friend tried to apologize several times but the owner just shoed him away as if he was nothing. I told him that it was sad to treat a human being like that when they apologize and that he made a mistake and we are all humans. He just told me to go away, when I told him I would never be back he just shrugged and said oh well. Never going back because the owner was so rude.
- Pros: Bartendars, Doorman, Drinks, atmosphere
- Cons: The guy who owns it
Good Place to go after a club or another bar.

It's a very loungy place on the right day. Since it's small, it'll be a little crowded on weekends. But after work, it's great to hang out and talk since most likely there won't be anybody there. A bartender there told me that there isn't usually anybody there on weekdays, so if you need to hang out somewhere without too big of a crowd, Kitsch Bar is the place to be.
- Pros: cool bartenders, nice dark lighting, very laid-back, can stay for hours
- Cons: get too crowded on weekends, dj isn't that great, don't have much to do if you get bored
